I agree, I understand it should be voidy, can it be a hologram N’zoth? But rotated to look like the legion invasion ships except the front is his tentacles slithering through space?

Sadly we already have the voidwalker mount and its come in like 3 to 4 different colors this expansion
If you are going to reuse a model at least change the color. Magenta/Arcane coloring would befit the ethereal theme of the patch and make the mount feel like less of a retread.

I actually kinda like it since I was hoping for a void themed animal of some type. Not as much as the mythic one though. That thing is made of stars.
That said, I won’t defend it. You are right. It is basically the Ny’alotha mount with a hat. Nice for people who did not get it the first time, though.

I still want the dang Legion Flying Disc as a mount… 
It feels like something Blizz could either put as a Legion TW vendor item, or earn it in some way from having done Legion xpac stuff.

Reusing the model isn’t a huge issue since it’s one that was barely used (the Legion AOTC mount was just a recolored Solar Spirehawk from WoD, after all, and that was fine), but they should change the body from purple to black to make it more distinct, I think.

If it makes you feel better the CE and glad mounts are also pretty ugly. KSM clears all of the others when you realize 2400 is an ugly bat and CE is just the dragonflight nether drake with void effects and a really weird looking head plate.
This is also factually wrong. KSM is the freebie mount (which easily clears all the others without trying)
I really thought the Royal Voidwing would be from an intro quest, and not the AOTC mount.
It’s pretty much just the Nzoth AOTC mount with some really nice looking golden armor. This mount looks like a reject glad mount.
I hope they change the AOTC mount to be something more memorable, considering it’s a limited time mount.

The very first AOTC was a recolor of mounts coming in WoD. Lots of them have been.
