AOE @target macro, how can I

Not objecting against it just keeping count but they really should make a section in the forums for macros or addons players make or recommend

PvP reasons making the PvE experience worse for no reason, that’s why.

I mean, in reverse the overdevelopment of raid addons is why the ability to detect the coordinates of allies was removed in instanced content, breaking all healing addons that showed arrows pointing at your team-mates.

The arrows were nice in pve too dont get me wrong, but healing in bgs with people running everywhere constantly is hellish now in comparison to before.

Thank you for this.

Getting rid of all isn’t very nice
sometimes is useful to pull something, cast on the way, on a strategic position, etc. But enabling @target is great, you could put into a rotation or sequence macro more easily, a macro button for quick or emergency uses, etc. Giving option isn’t bad. They made a freaking talent option to Earthquake instead of enabling @target
 i don’t know
 don’t feel right.

Maybe we could do that only with “harm”, to avoid tank sniping if that would be the problem

@target should be fixed in PVE.

Jesus Christ this poor thread.
Someone take it round back and put it to rest already.

Bad necro. And it shouldn’t.

@player and @cursor is fine.

Don’t we already have some aoe abilities with a variant to cast on target instead of cursor? I don’t see why @target couldn’t be supported.

But anyway yes, bad necro.

The only reason to not have @target macros for reticle aoe spells is pvp.

The specific example that comes to mind is scatter shot into freezing trap (I might be thinking of the wrong spell here).

If you could make a @target and @focus macro for this combo the skill expression of landing a trap goes away.

Now the argument against this is at the top level of player hunters will always be landing their shot so if we had @target and @focus macros for reticle spells then blizzard could balance shatter into trap around it always landing.

Or like has been said don’t enable this for pvp but
I personally like the game best when everything works the same in pvp and pve. Which I know there are exceptions
