With autocast and mouseover cast turned OFF.
I will not stop reporting this blizzard it has been 2 years, I have reported it like 6 or 7 times now in-game and on this forum.
I’ve been dealing with this as have other players where spells like Volley, Death and Decay upon using a hotkey, specifically a hotkey because clicking does not do this at all, be it 2, 3, 7, alt-1, ctrl-2, etc the spell will far too often at seemingly random intervals either autocast over top of your character or cast wherever your mouse is pointed.
Again I have mouseover and autocast turned off, I’ve had them turned off ever since they even became a thing in the Dragonflight prepatch and this has been happening ever since the Dragonflight prepatch when these cast/ability settings were first made and implemented.
If I click the abilities with my mouse instead of using a hotkey this problem never happens. I am losing my mind with this as I have never been able to reliably use these sort of spells SINCE.
It’s all of the spells/abilities that require you to select a space on the ground where you want to cast them. Including the ranged abilities of evoker like Deep Breath which, instead of autocasting, will instead autocancel and give you a “target too close” error. But it stems from the same problem.
