I need help everyone. I can’t decide what is more practical/better for me: frost aoe leveling or single target fire mage? AoE sounds like it may be beyond my skill. Thanks for any suggestions.
both spec don’t require skill for leveling
but i prefer firemage and always play firemage, the “psshhhhhhh” sound when you crit is too good 
I have four frost mages and one fire mage all levels 32 to 40 at this point. I think both are practical and fun. Obviously AoE is a fast way to level, but I personally find it very boring and removes any sense of immersion.
I’m finding fire to be really fun and I don’t exhaust mana as easily when in the open world. It’s fun just blowing mobs up in a matter of seconds. It’s harder in a dungeon though. I pull threat away from anyone except a good Pally tank (thus far.)
So would you say frost aoe is better for farming and leveling or only if you farm xo from certain zones?
AoE farming is for specific zones until you get enough talent points to really go nuts, but I do agree with your assessment of my words.
Personally, however, if you’re not power leveling any kind of mage leveling is fun just based on your advantage of transportation and overall survivability.

Does anyone ever go mixed frost/fire while leveling?
I doubt it, but it’s possible. Seems pointless unless you’re higher level.

Frost is very nice for dungeons
