Is it in? It doesn’t feel like it is in. I aoed the swarm after Herod dies in SM and was hitting full damage numbers. I know early in vanilla it wasn’t in. I could have sworn that near the end of vanilla though, they put a cap on number of targets you can aoe and get full damage. Beyond that it reduced damage in proportion to the amount you went beyond the target cap. Am I wrong? Was that added in TBC and not Vanilla? I coulda sworn it was in Vanilla.

Since patch 2.2.0, most area effect damage effects have an ‘area damage cap’ which limits the potency of the spell if used against a large number of targets simultaneously. As of patch 5.2.0, the current area damage cap is 20 targets.
