AOE cap is a horrible change!

Yes. Plenty of keys since. We have a triple pull saurid in Atal Dazar. They took forever to die.

They should start considering using Al mobs that they have on islands rather than have so many in a dungeon and adjust the timer to reflect this change.

Ah, and what level key were you doing? Because I did some 23-25s with uncapped classes and some with capped classes, and the ones with uncapped classes went so much smoother and faster it was absurd

It seems most uncapped aoe is lower damage.

What specs were the good uncapped aoe ones?

I’m starting to think they did that on purpose to slow people down and make it similar to the constant nag they had before to push people along.

The sad part is you know this change was to combat the 1% of high end M+ key runners who just used rogues etc to AoE down the whole dungeon. I can understand wanting to change that cause despite being 1% of players they do hold a LARGE sway of what the community thinks, but capping AoE was not the answer.

15 range. So I suppose I could see some of your point, either way, if SL dungeons are less reliant on interrupts I’d like to see how this plays out. It would be nice to not be forced into melee heavy comps for once. Not sure I would call it a horrible change until we see the actual content this was designed for.

Exactly ,and they are laughing at some peoples misery.

why is laughing at someone railing against balance bad? they should just roll mage in classic, or play diablo.

Yeah, I’m feeling the aoe cap when someone butt pulls. I knew it would happen. Tough to pick up aggro when thrash is on cooldown.

Because they know full well it would cause this uproar plus it no surprise why.

I speak for all the classes who had to wait 40 min to get a group for a key because they didn’t play one of those specs. go QQ.

Yeah… the meta got toxic, probably why Ion called it degenerate, even though he literally designed it lol. But yes balance,shadow, affliction, frost etc. don’t really get key invites. Whole point of #pulltheripcord.

So don’t pull 15 mobs duh!! .

That’s nearly half of the player base ,gg.No wonder the ques are slow.

With the prepatch scaling, doing a 15 is like doing a +5 unfortunately, if that… I was healing 25s as a ilvl 115 resto shaman.

I have beta, they’re not less reliant on interrupts. There’s also a lot of packs with more than 5, and a lot of mobs that spawn extra mobs. After 3 months on the beta, I can assure you that it’s a horrible, horrible change

The old school style of FF mobs down works still, they can’t hit the tank when they dead, stop the aoe thinkin. You pull 5, focus 1 down, that’s the damage of 4 now, rinse and repeat, eventually the tank is 1v1.

I appreciate your input. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this changes things and adapt.
