I tried to battlepet addon, I tried dragging, nothing works.
I am not aware of any way to empty a slot. The question's come up a couple of times in the past but I've never seen an answer.
Why would you want to?
Once you fill a slot, you can not empty it - or at least I couldn't.
Probably to queue up 2 v 2 or 1 v 1 against someone else you know is doing that. If so, win trading is stated as being against the ToS.

pretty dumb when you have to do dailies and can you 1v1 instead of 3v3.
