There is not enough alliance players to gank on my realm and was wondering if we can somehow unlock bene for horde transfers only. Either from faerlina, grob, or the dead realms.
Since it is 99% alliance, that is DOUBLE the alliance you would normally see compared to a balanced 50/50 server as the other 50% that would-be horde are alliance making it feel twice as many on the same layer. And for someone who wants a large alliance player base for pickings, this server is a goldmine. Please let me pay to transfer to it.
Doesn’t matter, Mega Realms are locked for good if people won’t transfer. They’ve already called it indefinitely locked for many months. Just another whine post.
Or maybe people chose Benediction because it was quite literally the only US-East server that was too big to fail when their own servers turned into a graveyard or a 99% horde server?
People didn’t flock to Benediction because they don’t want PvP, they flocked there because it’s the only server that has enough people to play with.
This idea that people don’t want PvP is ridiculous, if that’s the case, than the horde is just as bad because they have 99% servers just the same.
Oh I beg to differ here. How soon you forget that there is forum , internet and video evidence of servers purposely driving the opposite factions off their servers. In fact they outright made it a public mission statement.
From my memory (herod side)
All the alliance guilds talked and chose to either go to Pagle or Benediction because they were tired of the 60/40 split. With layering it made it feel more like 70/30 and they were getting killed everywhere and couldn’t even get summons for dungeons during TBC launch.
Herod was literally the 2nd biggest server on US East after Faerlina, that dive drove herod to where it is now… gone.
My source is that I have a lot of old ally Herod b .net friends because I was the Stormwind buff reset priest and each one talked to me about it while it was happening
You’ll have to back up that claim with some substantial proof because no one in their right mind would believe a conspiracy theory about how a server population colluded to chase the other faction off their server.
That’s just ridiculous. Killing people at a summoning stone isn’t colluding to chase people off.
Yes, like I said, people moved because they didn’t have enough players to play with or they couldn’t play because it was always 2 vs 1 and that’s not fun world PvP unless you are purposely looking for it.
exactly why I try to deter people from the bigger faction to stop summoning stone pvp. I’ve seen first hand what it does and it doesn’t end well. Looks like its slowly happening on Eranikus now too. 60/40, allies complaining about summoning stone greifing.
I agree, it’s just a slippery slope. It starts slow until it takes a nose dive. Could have told you it would happen before Classic even got released, that’s just the natural flow of a faction based game if nothing is done to benefit the underdog faction. Classic is particularly bad with it because it works on a server community basis which means that the faction with more people have bigger advantages than the underdog faction.
Well here are some starters for you. I know Blizzard and their lackeys would like what Onslaught did to Skerem to be swept under the rug, but surprise, the internet never forgets.
Skeram got hit by the ratio. Can’t walk a foot without seeing 5 Horde as Alliance.
Showing drama between two guilds doesn’t mean a server wide effort to get all Alliance off the server. Just mean one or two guilds are a-holes.
