Walking up to a character whose bio says walk ups welcome and I start RPing only to be ignored (even with whisper pokes) and there’s like dozen characters in the vicinity hearing me having to back peddle with something like, “Right, uhh I guess he didn’t umm hear me…” Sooo awkward…
That, and missing the timing for casting the Guardian Spirit on the tank so he dies and those stupid wings sprout on my sorry back instead lol. Makes me wanna go hide in a cave.
Sitting in Stormwind, nodding and smiling to people as they pass, trying to start up RP conversations… and getting ignored.
It doesn’t happen all the time, but I do manage to end up in places where people are guild or group RPing more than random RP. There’s no corner to slink into when that happens. LOL
I was in LFR (practicing rotations and things) and a low ilvl rogue sent me a whisper saying they wanted to be me when they grew up lol. (I’m assuming they were complementing my dps)
I was flattered and told them so… AND NOT 5 SECOND LATER I got knocked off the edge of the platform and died.
Dying in a really dumb way embarrasses me all the time, but it’s what I do lol.
Who knows. People seem to think RPers are some weird, otherworldly, parasitic disease or something. They forget that RPers are simply writers creating storylines.
This.
Whenever I fall to my death always wonder if anyone else noticed. It’s pretty hysterical when it’s someone else going ‘splat’ right at your feet!
