Anyone Using VMware Workstation While Playing WoW?

Not to actually run WoW, but to do your own non-WoW related thing in a different guest OS while WoW is running on your host?

Blizz is tightlipped about what Warden picks up and am wondering if VMware Workstation has been an issue before for anyone for whatever random reason. Being able to do coding in a VM while sitting around waiting for rares and queues would be nice.

While I can’t say for sure, I would be surprised if they had an issue with it. They already allow multiple clients open on the same computer, so running them in a VM would be unnecessary.

Maybe it could have some use in multiboxing, but again, there are many alternatives that don’t require VMs.

I run wow on linux so i dont think Blizzard cares whats on your computer. Only thing warden probably looks for is automated actions

Been a while but I used to use VMWare to do my ANSI C programming in Linux during University, and 99.9% sure I played or at least had WoW open at the same time. That was a typical night for me, work on my left monitor, WoW on my right.
