How is it gaming with a standing desk? Specifically WoW, maybe some League.
I’m interested in one of those converters I can put on my desk and adjust the height so I can switch between standing and sitting when I want.
What are your IRL enrage timer emotes when standing? I know when sitting it’s common to bang the desk or the chairs arm rest. What do people do when standing? Do you kick desk?
I don’t have an enrage timer IRL I just like to know what people are doing these days I am serious about getting a standing desk though.
Can anyone recommend or not recommend?
I stand all day at work. The last thing I want to do is stand while I play video games.

I have an adjustable height desk because I suffer from back issues if I sit too long. Now and then its a good thing to push the chair away and stand up to stretch the back and unlock the knees.

Eight hours in steel toe boots on a concrete floor is all the standing I can stand for the day.

I’d probably use one if I had one. I like to stand up while I work sometimes and I basically have a desk job, I wouldn’t mind doing the same while gaming.
I use one and love it. I’m forced to sit all day and it really hurts my back. Being able to stand for 15 min each hour has been a game changer for my back

I got one mainly because sitting for long periods hurts my behind so I stand when that happens. Even if I stand all day at work sometimes youd just rather stand.

those things are overpriced gimmicks, it doesn’t keep you from gaining weight, all it does is make you want to sit down after 30 minutes, for $5000 for a standing desk that’s electric powered, i say just build your own desk like i did, i spent $300 of material to build it that would’ve costed me well over $6000 if i just bought the same concept online
I play standing. Mostly because it helps me limit my game time. I get tired sooner and don’t want to be standing there all night.
As to your other question, I usually just jump up and down.
Working can be a thing on an adjustable standing desk (seeing as you’re likely moving anyway).
I don’t think gaming which you’re already engaging your brain fairly significantly would be a good idea while standing up. Atleast not for a prolonged period of time.
I use a standing desk. Bought a pair last year, and they’ve been a lifesaver. I have mild scoliosis and a dislocated disc of sorts so constant sitting ain’t good for my back. This has helped a ton. The desks are cheep and a little wobbly. There is a lot of space around the desk but not so much on top, however. You might have to use something to cushion your feet. They’re adjustable. I kept my chair because standing for too long ain’t comfortable either.
I built mine from scrap I took from a loft bed I built out of 2x4’s nearly a decade ago.
At a previous work I used one and wouldn’t really say I’d recommend them for hitier play such as M+, Raids, and PvP, just from how it felt even doing general computer activities, but you probably could use one for casual/daily play or turn based games. I can understand though why somebody especially in these Covid times would like the idea if your somebody who games for mutliple hours to have the option to get up and get some additional circulation in the legs or just switch posture.
You can also just get a high desk and use a high chair or stand depending on what you want to do
I use it because it good for you. sitting too much is not very healthy. Mine has a stair stepper that I use while streaming.
As someone with a bad back, the idea of a standing desk makes me cry.
i custom cut 2 pieces of 1 inch thick birch, glued together, then used bondo on the edges, sanded it down smooth, painted it, and made a 3 piece L desk that is 30x24, 48x30x48 (corner), and a 48x30, then used metal leggings to form the desk, it’ll never need replaced in my lifetime
