I am getting conflicting suggestions for both Pawn and Mr Robot for a particular piece of gear I have a 355 w/ Laser matrix/Overwhelming power and a 370 w/ Poisoned wire/Overwhelming Power.
Does Pawn factor in azerite traits or it purely stat weights? I can't seem to find anything online.

Pretty sure it's stat weight since I run old content and it recommends the gear that drops due to it having haste, and my current piece not having haste. But, I might be wrong.
I'm not as familiar with pawn, but isn't it just a static stat string that doesn't adjust based on when you increase/decrease stats? If yes, that's not a great tool as stats gain and lose weight depending on how many you have of them. I'm 99.9% sure pawn does not interact with traits.
I'd also advise using raidbots.com to Sim. I see it widely used over AMR.

Pawn only looks at stats. AMR looks at everything.
I use Pawn to determine if I need to sim with AMR. It’s good for a quick look to see if the item is worth considering.
The Pawn string generated by AMR is usually pretty good. But you do need to sim trinkets and azurite traits.

You can update your strings as you gain stats to keep it up to date.
Ask Mr. Robot is jank imo. Make sure to update those weights and manually feed them into pawn!

When was the last time you used AMR? It's worked great for me over the past two years.

You need to get your stat weights and import them to Pawn and disable the defaults.
As others have said, pawn only takes stat wieghts into account. It is pretty much useless for azurite gear and trinkets. It is still very good for all other pieces, as long as you use AMR/raidbotts to generate accurate stat wieghts.
Trinkets and azurite pieces will usually need a top gear sim.
