Anyone try play WOW on Windows 11 yet?

Good. :+1:

I did, for 2 days, nothing different tbh

Works fine for me on Windows 11. Thread is old, but is quite relevant considering millions of people are just now or recently getting Windows 11 offered to them to upgrade.

I disagree. I only game to cheat somehow. WoW doesn’t let me, so I wait 2 expansions to do legacy content, just so it’s as easy as if I were cheating.

got my offer to ā€˜upgrade’ a couple weeks ago clicked on no thanks.

Not having any problems with it…

Windows 11 is free from Windows 10.

I still wouldn’t pull the trigger yet. There were known performance issues with Ryzen (just gaming in general not sure about WoW specifically). And that’s to say nothing for issues that have yet to be discovered.

I would avoid being an early adopter if you can avoid it.

Definitely Q1 of next year (or some other time prior to when it stops being ā€œfreeā€).

windows 11, where half of the start menu is taken up by the ā€˜recent and suggested items’ section

…with that space rendered unusable and blank if you disable ā€˜recent and suggested items’.

VBS cuts your Processor speed almost by 15%.

That’s FUD

Windows Hello for Business requires a lot more than just running software on a computer. It requires being part of an active directory. Moreover if a game really wanted to try to do those things now it could do so since at least windows vista. But normally anything that touches the TPM requires administrator level access because… le gasp it’s considered something you don’t want hackers to mess with. Given that games, generally speaking, don’t run as admin that’s generally speaking not possible.

consider yourself lucky… I cant even play the game it auto loggs me out and wont even let me get past the login before crashing. I have tried to put a ticked in and now it wont let me add correct files for the tickets.

It runs fine on my laptop. I just miss my ā€œpasteā€ option for addon files. I have to select ā€œshow more optionsā€ but I can share with Skype…lol ok

Yes I am currently running 11 and I have had no problems. To be honest the only thing that is messed up is the snipping tool, I have to use that for reports, and it crashes the program. Microsoft already knows about this and is working on a fix. As far as games, all of my games work. No problems yet, with 3 weeks of use.

I hope that helps somewhat. I am trying to be honest, and the people that complain about privacy or what have you, honestly don’t understand how the modern world works. Tell me again about your privacy while you type from your Iphone

I’m not upgrading to windows 11. At least not for several years after its initial release, then maybe.

Same, haven’t had an issue with anything not working.

Did have to move my start menu to the left, the middle was too weird.

I reverted back after the terrible taskbar. I was excited for the android subsystem, but it’s still not fully implemented.

I’ll go back after the new year when they finally give us more taskbar customization.

I have a brand new gaming (Alienware i9) computer that came with Windows 11 on it, however I haven’t had the time to get it up and running. Let alone download…WoW. lol

Plus I’m not really playing the game right now, so it may be a while.

It should run super well on 11, but who knows? lol
