Anyone still play with WM on?

Personally I turned it off since the start of BFA, lost it’s charm very rapidly when those bounties resulted in nothing more than raids camping a quest area for hours. Oh and let’s not forget all the shadow priests that camped the starting area in the maw when you would jump down. Most people I know have it turned off, even with the faction bias with the bonus it gives. Yet overall it seems like a very dead system, even with all the incentives it has to it. Curious if their going to keep it in dragon isles, or if their going to try to revamp it somewhat.

I saw one in ZM today. They’re pretty rare.

It’s been forever since I was in wm I stopped because it was always 10 vs 1 no matter what side you were on. Or the one guy who was so over geared no one could kill them.

If no one was using it, it would make even less sense to turn it off. You get a passive bonus just for having it on, on either faction, so if hardly anyone was using it, it’s more beneficial to use it lol.

Sounds weird but yeah, I never turn it off.

IDK, I feel like as a stealth class it’s not bad, but anything else and you would simply run into groups that were non stop camping quest hubs. Just to do the stupid PvP quest, and I would want to do things with it on for the bonus, yet you get tired of being ganked non stop by raids. Just would rather get what I need to done and move on. Over fighting a raid or trying to make my own raid just to do some quests or camp a rare I’m after. Literal straw that broke the camel’s back for me was when I was killing a rare back when BFA first launched, and then a stupid group came in, killed me, and then stole the rare kill from me, and began /sitting and /spitting on my corpse seeing as I had to step away or else I was about to smash something.

Players in PvP, no pun intended, or vicious as heck honestly, and I don’t see why people like WPvP to be frank.

Because the game is boring as sin without it lol.

Yea, I use it all the time… I’m also decently geared and can stealth. Plus, I like PVP.

Leave mine off for the most part. WM just isn’t as fun as being on an actual PvP server, and the bonus isn’t worth the annoyance of getting ganked while doing chores.

I’ve never turned it on :stuck_out_tongue:

WM? What’s that?

I started routinely using war mode near the end of 9.1.5, especially when playing in Korthia. It felt like a much more social experience than playing with it off. Made some friends and a lot of friendly acquaintances, especially because I usually saw a lot of the same people every day. I was even glad to see the people on the other faction who regularly tried to kill me.

Zereth Mortis hasn’t really been as fun in war mode; it just feels too empty most of the time. I still usually play with it on so I can benefit from PvP item level scaling and honor talents.

Yes. It’s basically free rewards. Perhaps it’s because I’m a stealth class but the chance for world PvP doesn’t cause me many problems so getting the free bonuses/talents is more than worth it.

haven’t partaken in wpvp since the days of crossing the bridge out of tol barad (because hearthstone was on cooldown or such) after the scheduled battle

Still boring with it on - it just takes longer to be just as boring.

The majority of my toons are in WM.

It makes farming the MoP bosses very nice. They’re always up. I also love the 20% experience bonus my Alliance toon gets but the 10% for Horde still makes it worth it.

And a nice hidden bonus to WM is I never see the Goldshire craziness on Moon Guard. The town is completely empty and General Chat is always quiet.

The only toons I don’t have in WM is my four mains. I just want to get my dailies done then log off, not fool around with the Alliance. They’re welcome to gank me on my low level toons though.

Really? I think its more rare to see someone without WM on, at least in the current zone of the recent patches.

Outside of leveling alts for a bonus to xp, I haven’t had much reason to play with WM on.

Because beyond the paltry bonuses offered by War Mode especially on Horde side it’s a net negative to run around with it on.

So why make shoot myself in the foot by allowing others to accost and kill me while I’m trying to do dailies and other misc. open world activities? All it does is annoy me and waste my time.

Early in BFA I turned it on long enough to do the weekly as the gear reward was significant.

Once that changed I turned it off and haven’t even considered ever turning it on.

I really don’t like PvP to begin with, mix in raid size groups camping hubs and it’s even less fun.

I’ll put it this way:

I wish that WoW was a game that made a system like “War Mode” engaging. But the mere fact that it is a toggle at all means that it can never be designed in such a way that actually makes world PvP an interesting or engaging component of the overall experience.

Nope, not me - I don’t find getting camped enjoyable, nor do I like allowing someone with no life that much power over my recreation time.
