Anyone still multibox?

It is a little more tedious without keybroadcasting, but I am still playing 3 toons. Anyone else still hanging in there? Still having fun with it?

I was multiboxing 15 accounts.
I still have 4 active but don’t box anymore. I used 4 accounts to buy lvl 58 boosts.

15? They must have been all the same class. Yeah, you pretty much have to hang it up without keybroadcasting with that many. I can tab through 3. I never played more than 3 anyway. I don’t PvP, so I usually try to play 3 different classes at the same time. Maybe not everyone’s idea of fun, but I really enjoy it.

I tried 2 accounts once during one of the RaF promotions. I let the 6 month sub lapse. Didn’t care for it much.

Yeah, it’s not for everyone. If you are just trying to level multiple characters at the same time, it is not very much fun. If you enjoy building the synergy with your “team”, it becomes a different type of game. I don’t create them as I want x class and y class as top level. I think more along the lines of what would compliment each other for a team. Although there is not a ton of healing needed while questing, I still usually pick a tank, dps and healer to spec along the way and use them in that role when needed.

I alt tab on 2 accounts, if that counts

That counts! If you ever move on to 3, try alt-esc. Same as alt tab, but cycles through all windows.

I play my Horde and Alliance accounts simultaneously. Very slowing leveling two Restoration Druids from 51 to 57, then I’ll switch to Feralolololololol when I can get Outlands greens.

Boosting my paladin tank as we speak.

Hopefully I get enough gear the exploit poor Alliance players that can’t find a tank and then roll need on everything.

Let it lapse this Monday. Was using resto shaman / prot pally in Strat to make 7k gold a week. Really solid combo especially considering the shaman can DE. But I’m just done with it.

Still multiboxing, and having a lot of fun. Normal dungeons haven’t been too hard so far but am cautiously optimistic about clearing heroics when we hit 70. Unfortunately I play way too many characters so my boxing toons are only 66.

I three-box a prot pally, mage, and a priest while a friend two-boxes mages. I also five-box by adding two mages of my own for when I want to solo dungeons. I’ve been doing this without key broadcasting since long before the ban. All you have to do is play in windows mode and resize your windows so you can see all accounts at once. I also use the second hot-key bank to use assist macros on all my necessary spells and use clique for heals and dispells.

The biggest “challenge” is getting my team to the dungeon without just having them all on auto-follow as I’m sure all the mouth-breathing idiots will report me for multiboxing, even though it is still allowed.

This is the exact team I am playing now. I don’t attempt to dungeon with them. I don’t want to subject anyone else to my inefficiencies. I don’t have anybody to go in with me, so I either take them one at a time with a group or just skip until I get to top level. Glad to hear I’m not the only one!

Had a guildy that still multiboxed a warlock and a priest but the priest basically just became the afk tab mana battery. It’s just not super effective anymore besides playing something that gives another class sustain.

I did this back when I first started a decade or so ago. I would heal my voidwalker. This was the perfect setup for a 2-boxer because you still had all three roles. People take different stances on how they play. I always try to get the most out of each toon I can. I still can’t be more than 75% or so effective on each one, but I try as hard as I can to utilize as much as I can.

Never saw anyone talk about multboxing unless it was herb farm tears usually over in retail. This is new and interesting lol.

Although I quit when Cata came out, I have always done it and have always had a different take than the prevailing opinion on the forums. Back in original TBC/WotLK, there were multiple threads a day about how awful it was. It was mostly complaining about someone playing 30 mages in PvP. I used to enjoy trying to make the case for how I play. I don’t think I changed any minds, but I enjoyed the debate anyway.

I lvld this toon and my druid to 70 at the same time was fun and the gold making was great.

I had 7 shamans, 6 Priest, 1 mage, 1 warlock. this was before they made input broadcasting not allowed.

I have 4 active accounts still but don’t multibox any. I just boosted 4 different classes to try.

“Anyone still multibox”

Never

But I’ll hotbox all day.

If you know what I mean

I still box and right now with retail and 9.1 I got one toon that I have open on the second monitor to check the ah every so often and set her to craft with craft all for des leather to heavy des leather (can take her a bit) and my lock on the main monitor doing dungeons or quests or w/e, just manually switching back and forth. Getting burned out a tad so will prolly level up some toons on another server as a change of pace or take a small 4 to 5 day break.

I have 5 accounts and I like to rp with them or xmog farm / mount farm. All manual of course (how I learned prenov when I had just 2 accounts then 3 cause I liked the freedom of manually doing it for rp). I have tried 5 box lowbie dungeons recently and they are def diff. You can really admire a dungeon when you can take it slow and look at everything and chill to the music.
