So someone out there has a heart of Azeroth that they have been leveling nonstop since BFA launched. I don’t know who it is, or how they did it, or how far they got it.
BUT I am very curious.
I know you must exist because the internet is the internet and WoW is WoW and if we’ve got max level neutral pandas who only farm copper and peacebloom 8 hours a day I know there’s someone who just grinds islands.
What is the highest ilvl Heart of Azeroth out there? I know it can level up indefinitely, so in theory it has the potential to be the highest ilvl item obtainable in the game, but I also know that AP costs go up (by a lot) every time it levels forming a kind of soft cap.
So what’s the highest Ilvl one in the game? Has anyone gotten it to a level where it’s actually comparable to current gear? Past that?

Mine is apparently ilvl 148, and level 94. I know for sure there is someone higher because someone in the world had level 100+ in BfA. However, I don’t think that it would realistically keep up with any current necklaces, especially since it can take hundreds of thousands or millions of azerite power per level.

Yeah, it’s all just academic, but I am really curious what the highest level one is.
There were people posting in the forum toward the end of BfA that they had reached 100+ on their necks. I don’t know if they still play.

My BE Hunters is 142, from doing Pathfinder 1 and 2, and all the allied races. Her cloak is 138 also. I started as Alliance, leveled through BFA and locked at 50. I did flying and all the allied races, then faction changed and did all the Horde allied races except Nightborne.
My HOA sent me a letter about my mailbox. Apparently, they don’t like the fact that it looks like a giant fish.

I think you are confusing neck level with neck ilvl. During BfA a neck level of 87 got you a 465 ilvl neck. Currently (looking at a character right now) a neck level of 85 has an ilvl of 139.
People who had neck levels of 100+ spammed mythic island expeditions continuously to get there. As your neck level increased the amount of AP required to reach the next level increased dramatically.

I hit like 80-90 on some alt, don’t remember and just called it an expansion.
Mine is level 81 and ilvl 135. And I didn’t really play BfA much until recently. So I don’t even wear my HoA anymore, but I carry it in my bags since I’m grinding out BfA content & reps now. I’m curious if I can reach level 100. Shouldn’t be too hard, since I still have Nazjatar & Mechagon reps to grind for flying.
I have been farming bfa the past month or so and I have yet to see the silly thing level.
It is item level 144 and azerite level 90.
