If so, did you have to make any changes to your install to get the game to work?
Battlenet installed and launches without issue but after installing World of Warcraft through the launcher, WoW shows a black screen for a moment then crashes.

And before some people say wow is not supported on Linux we know we know we know …
I use Arch just make sure you have all the dependencies that the balttlenet installer ask for…and honestly run glorious eggrolls proton.
And go through the battle net installer lutris and not the wow standalone in my opinion it works better.
And in my opinion either use nabara or arch if you like to game…mint just tends to not have the updated packages.
You need to take the johnson rod and coat it with the liquid ohm’s to bring it to the proper ph level for mitosis.
why would you melt down such a valuable rune? what a waste
I got this working on my Steam Deck.
Make sure the runner is set to “wine-ge-8-25-x86_64 (default)”
We ran out of um’s.
I used the battle net installer instead of the wow one and it works great on my Ubuntu 22.04 system.
just wait for it to come to game pass
What the heck are you talking about? Did you even read the subject?
hes having issues logging in through his crypto launcher
I had a black screen with no WoW as well.
This ^
Make sure you get your video drivers setup properly for sure. I’m on Manjaro and I had a hard time getting WoW to work until I got the hybrid mode on the GPU working. I have a laptop with the intel/nvidia - it wasn’t using the right gpu for gaming.
Thanks very much for taking the time to help!
For clarification Battlenet is running without issue via Lutris install and I installed WoW through the battlenet launcher.
RE: the driver install. If I installed the NVIDIA 545 drivers through Mint’s driver check on OS install, am I ok to run your command still or will this cause issues? Would I need to uninstall my drivers first?
Thanks again!
Um no? Did you read it? People are using Linux.
Yeah it will realize you have a newer driver so it will skip that.
No my dude it’s Linux, mint being 1 of the more popular ones distros wise
All so

A bunch of good people on that discord channel it’s for nabara Linux and they’re very helpful.
Hi there again Murloch,
It removed the 545 drivers and installed 535 in their place, which I’m ok with. Unfortunately after running that string, finishing the install and restarting, WoW behaves the same way: Black screen startup, mouse pointer change then window closes, returning to desktop.
I’ll check out the discord(thanks for that), if you happen to think of anything else to try, I’d be greatly appreciative.
Thanks!
