Anyone playing WoW in Geforce 3080 or better?

I am curious what your details are set at. And how is your frame rate in areas like Ardenweald which is basically a particle effect theme park…

5ghz 8700k, ASUS TUF RTX 3080 OC

4k (1440p 150% render scale), 10 setting, MSAA8x, RTX Off. Fully GPU bound in most scenarios, and can dip into the 60s sometimes. Mostly 100ish.

I am guessing you are playing on a 1440p monitor? Kind of strange you are going with 150 render scale + MSAA 8x… Seems like an insane overkill

Just to show you the limits of the graphics card.

I normally play 1440p native/FXAA for framerate and/or less usage. I actually think the Nvidia image sharpening on the driver level + FXAA looks just as good as MSAAx8 and costs nearly nothing.

See above for various settings. Even native 1440p/FXAA, it is GPU limited in most places outside of towns.

Do you know where are you standing in those screenshot? I am going to go there in game as a reference point… Thanks!

Also find that RTX shadows are completely impossible to even notice most of the time. I turn it off.

Some people are saying that the 3000 series doesn’t perform as well as it should - that the 2000 series gets better results. I can’t confirm that, but that’s what I hear.

On my cpu, at 1440p native/fxaa high/etc off, I bouncr oround between 90-100% GPU here.

I need a CPU upgrade!
