I’m about to; I intend on playing it almost full-time. I’m a long-time Phantasy Star fan since the Genesis days.

admittedly having a hard time with the graphics settings in this game.
no actual resolution to fit my display (1440p) and the virtual full screen mode is super blurry 
Had to Google it cause I thought you were talking about an old Dreamcast game, but it turns out that was Phantasy Star Online Version 2 that I was thinking of, lol. I played the original PSO (not Ver. 2) a little bit offline way back when that came out (DSL modem wasn’t close enough to my Dreamcast to go online without creating a trip hazard, which my Mom wouldn’t allow me to do for obvious reasons 
), wasn’t crazy about it but then again I was offline so I didn’t get the full experience. Maybe I’ll give this new one a try.

And here we are for PSO2 . I agree the current name does make it confusing.
From what I read on Wiki episode 1 was essentially Ver. 2 ported to GameCube (and later Xbox) since Sega had decided to kill the Dreamcast, and was packaged with additional content labeled episode 2. Since the original release hadn’t really impressed me and subsequent releases required internet I didn’t really follow it after that

Got it, and while I tried the Japanese a long time ago I couldn’t get into it. I learned my lesson this time and using a controller feels more like the PSO I love.
i have been using xbox 360/xbox one controllers for my PC for a long time now. Most games that seem more intuitive on controller, I have been using it.
Plus seems most of the steam collection recognizes those layouts automatically

It’s fine, they might want to fix the NA servers and make sure it’s all good for a global launch.
