Anyone planning to get the Dragonflight Collectors Edition?

Just wondering because I’ve never ordered off the Blizzard gear store before and don’t know how good or bad its shipping is. Also it kinda blows its the only place to buy it (I usually buy at GameStop.

Although normally I’d wait before I buy or pre-order a game but I get the feeling I shouldn’t wait on this one.

I’ve been contemplating it as well. The last collectors edition I purchased was WotLK and I didn’t regret it one bit. Whether you regret it or not will probably depend a lot on the quality of this expansion so waiting a bit may be wise.

Eh, waiting probably won’t be too much of a problem. I don’t think WoW CEs are as coveted as they used to be, mostly because they seem to produce a decent amount of them and a lot of the digital stuff is offered separately now.

depends on how long they wanna hold out on telling us what else is gonna be in the expansion…

oh and i want to see interactive talent trees asap! i want to theorycraft with the other druids

then i’ll pre order the collector’s special box

you’re right about that…they don’t have that charm anymore…i feel like the box itself is like the most valuable thing now :broken_heart:

I’ve ordered off the gear store before and the shipping is normal. Not spectacular like two day delivery but it didn’t take long either. Ordered a plush gryphon and a plush wind rider years ago and ordered a board game during the pandemic.

I’ve bought stuff from the gear store before. Comes relatively quickly and well packaged. I ordered a framed piece of art and it came perfectly protected, not even a finger print on the glass.

Naw. Just more stuff I will have to pack next time I move.

Honestly the box is a large factor in this purchase but not the only factor. I am kinda bummed out they stopped making physical standard editions. I have 8 of them from classic to BfA, but the cycle ended with SL and it was too late to get the collectors for that game and they make such nice displays.

Only things keeping me from a guilty conscience is I’m getting the game away, I like Artbooks, the pins and mousepad look good and again the box looks cool. I can take or leave the digital stuff, because I take more pride in what I earned in the game and not bought in the store.

I haven’t preordered any of the CEs from them before, but I’ve bought other merch like plush/toys/pins and they’ve all been packaged well and nothing was dented. It took a couple days to get it, and the box is decorative if that’s a concern for your area.

Last time, the Shadowlands CE shipped out intentionally before launch date, I hope they’ll do the same this time.

Seems like shipping does ok depending on what it is. Got multiple delays on my Black Dragonscale Backpack back in Oct. 2021 - Feb. 2022. Just glad it arrived in Feb.

But I digress, I’ve ordered the physical mainly for the artbook and pins. I absolutely adore artbooks

It used to suck majorly. It took 7 months for me to get a Murloc. Seven. Months.

Only problem i had out of the shop was waiting like a month and a half on the big Sylvanas statue and her arm being broke. It wasnt bad enough that a little dab a glue wouldnt fix.

Everything usually comes in fast. And my classic collector edition came in spotless and not even slightly damaged

Nope. I have enough useless junk in the house without adding more. I’ll stick with digital downloads.

I preordered mine, cant wait to never open it and let it collect dust with the other unopened collector’s editions.

I have the hardcopy of the DF CE on pre-order from my local EB Games in Australia.

Nice!

I’ll raise you some WoW plushies!

No, but not because I hate Blizzard or don’t think it’s worth it or anything like that. I’m not getting it simply because I’m not the kind of person who buys collectibles :person_shrugging:

Never ordered more than a computer pad (a gigantic mouse pad that’s like 3 ft long and 2 ft in width) and some shirts. Never had an issue with shipping.

I’m on east coast it ships out of California so it took a bit but I was not that concerned.

I considered the CE but don’t think I will get it $150 when shipping and taxes are added is just a bit too much to swallow for a cool box and an art book. As they are the only draw to me beyond what the epic edition provides.
