i am not sure it worked at all until last patch. but now it works. gets more hides and species specific things sometimes. if it did work before last patch it was very very rarely to the point that i can’t even remember it happening at all and i have perception tool and perception enchant for skinning because i’m weird and crazy. anyway. anyone else notice?

Well, believe me, i know you’re probably joking, but it does proc now for me.
I spent about ten minutes farming shalehorns. Didnt get any blue pelts from anything other than my knife ability. Felt a bit higher increase for Horns tho.
it gives a notification in your chat window “Your Perception has granted you extra xxxx”
same with Finesse, too. Did before, but Perception never seemed to work before this patch with skinning.
I’ve had plenty of Perception procs over the past year, not entirely sure what the issue being suggested is.
hmm… it’s possible i’m mistaken, or was bugged characterwise or something or just didn’t have enough perception but i had a lot. maybe i am mistaken and don’t remember getting them. anyway, i’m happy i’m noticing them now.
hmm… i notice i got a lot more of them on my resto druid compared to my holy priest. i wonder if it’s because my resto is a double gatherer and the tools of herbalism are contributing to the overall skinning score while the holy priest is a leatherworker. just thoughts.
or maybe my resto wildstalker is just better at killing loads of elite mobs faster. probably.
