Every time I’ve done this before I put up a channel with drops enabled, and then do work in another tab. Last night this worked fine. This morning it won’t budge. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you work around it?
I noticed before that if you have multiple tabs open in the same window, and one of them is Twitch, it will “pause” the stream, halting your progress. That’s why I give it its own window even while I browse the web in another, so I have 2 separate browsers open. I also shrink the size of both windows so I can keep an eye on the stream to make sure it’s still…well, streaming, and surf the web simultaneously in another smaller window. It’s mildly annoying since I prefer my tabs to be consolidated and orderly, but it works.
This is what I noticed during the last drop, as well. I tend to have multiple windows up anyways, so Twitch just gets pushed on the least active one at the time, I keep that tab as the active selected one (even if it’s covered up) and then works fine.
Unless you have the stream running in the foreground it seems to take longer to get progress. I had it on in the background muted and probably took over twice the time before I got the toy. I couldn’t stand watching someone play wow on a stream, but that’s just me.
