I love BC but damn do I love lich king raiding… Everything was tough and fun. Would love to progress on Prof putricide again.
Not particularly woltk raiding was prob the weakest point in the games raid history for me personally. Doing each raid 4 times a week 10/25 normal and herioc. Having the end game be nerfed by 5% a week making it hardly any challenge at all and as it wasn’t needed in the first place the hardest raid in woltk for dps/heal and apm required was in t1 with s3d everything after that was just a downgrade
Good news everyone!
No one forced you to run the same raid 4 times a week.
Shuw us ur “no light in the darkness” chiev from when it was relevant…100% chance you can’t, but the content was “easy” … el oh el
Well the bis came from all 4 modes so if you wanted to progress your char to the best it could be then you did
Which was not required to clear anything in Wotlk. You did that because you chose to do that.
Hence why i said for me personally in my post. It lacked challenge and was a repeat farm fest
I found more than enough challenge, but then I was in a guild just looking to have fun so we weren’t worried about finding top notch players.
That was literally one raid: Trial of the Crusader.
It’s one of the reasons I despise gnomes.
Three-drake wasn’t even close to the hardest thing in that expansion. Firefighter, Zero Light, and LK25H are all among the hardest encounters in the history of the game.
Hated Wrath personally. The setting was extremely unappealing to me, as was the endgame.
I said mathematically the hardest as it had the largest health pool to enrage timer amd did the more dmg per 10 than the other enounters never said mech said math
Dude i peaked in wotlk, you didnt farm 10 man if you were doing 25 man, stop making bullshiz up.
You are the same people who go ‘wahh my vanilla gear is ireplaced by TBC greens’
- Its not even remotely true
- Maybe we shouldnt release ZG, AQ and Naxx, all that gear replaces my well earned MC and BWL epics too…
I dont play classic so aint one of them and it was the case trinkets and weapons only dropped in either the 10 or 25 not in both it was a specific loot table of you wanted x trinket then you did x raid
I ran 10 and 25 man because both had items that you needed. Wrath was fun, had great itemization and lots of fun dungeons. I prefer it to BC by a boatload.
I like WOTLK warrior as I can AOE tank with much ease in WOTLK. I will take warrior from BC though.
10-man Naxxramas, Ulduar, and Icecrown Citadel was loldumb. Not because it was easier/harder than 25-man, but just … thematically loldumb. 10-man and 25-man TotC was okay, however.
Stuffing both factions in Shattrah was not ideal, but one large, central city in Outland wasn’t awful. Dalaran, by comparison, but so so so so loldumb. There was no reason to stuff all level 80s in one town, a fraction of the size of any other capital city.
Restoration Druids got nerfed from TBC to WoTLK.
Feral Druids got shafted by Blizzard effectively trying to implement three specs into the Feral tree (PVE Bear, PVE Cat, PVP)
Balance Druids were buffed from TBC to WoTLK.
WoTLK Resilience > TBC Resilience
Behsten and Slahtz, but Blizzard ruined twinking and low-watt cry-bulbs think a Level X9 in full Heirloom gear (w/ XP ON) is somehow different than a Level X9 in BiS BOE gear (w/ XP OFF)

…but Death Knights. ughughuhghuguh. Fun to play, but bad for the overall integrity of the game.
Deciding whether to transition to WoTLK or stay on a ‘TBC FOREVER’ server will be a difficult decision to make, when the time comes.
Resto Druids were insane in WotLk, unless you mean PvP then I have no clue as I was pretty much done with PvP by then. But for raiding where you had all of that rolling AOE damage they were crazy.
Wrath would have been great if it weren’t for death knights and lfd. Busted the game so bad, no going back from that.
Don’t care for the AE spamfest that is wrath pve, it kinda is a turn off.
My leveling dungeons WERE fairly challenging. Quite a few pulls required paying attention, but not homewerk, a tricky balance. And I think questing still had challenge? I recall actually being threatened by something in almost every zone…
Id probably play it eventually just for nostalgia.
And as for raiding I LOVED the entry tier Karazhan redux.
