tried to buy a sub earlier with the same card i’ve been using for years and no issues. today i buy a sub and it goes through but when i check my transactions on bnet account as well as bank account nothing. tried a 2nd time same thing it says it’s successful but transaction didn’t go through.
So i go on my email get a letter stating it went through but was frozen because payment method wasn’t up to date. i’ve literally used the card to buy a 1 month sub last month no issues used it for years no issues.
eventually i just used my paypal account and it finally went through. not sure why. did not recieve any notice or call from bank saying transaction was blocked

Could be that the estore has a lot of traffic right now because of Diablo.

I know my card got blocked before because they though blizzard was a fraud website

Yeah, my card company wouldn’t allow a transaction one time because they said it’s a company “known for card fraud claims”.
The long fun story:
Thing was, it was a normal purchase and when I tried to charge it to the card, it said “declined”. Since I know the card is good, I thought I mistyped the number and tried to enter it twice more before finally calling the card company to find out what the hell was going on and I was told the above about video game company charges being heavy on frauds. To which I grilled the person on the phone:
I have been doing regular business with Blizzard ON THIS EXACT CARD ACCOUNT for (at the time) 17 YEARS. Did this charge look different from the others? She said no.
Of all the multiple charges from Blizzard, both regularly recurring AND one-offs, have I disputed or filed claims on any of them at all? She said no.
Did I not, when I had this same thing happen about 10 years ago, request my card account to be FLAGGED that ALL charges from Blizzard should be considered valid unless I call and say otherwise? She said, yes, the flag is there.
To which all I asked at that point was: “THEN WHY ARE WE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION???”
Her answer was well, we saw three charges go through one after the other for the exact same amount so… Me: “YOU WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THREE CHARGES HAD YOU NOT DECLINED THE FIRST CHARGE.” She had no answer for this other than to say they hadn’t actually declined it (which is a load of an answer since if it appears as declined to the consumer AND to the merchant, then it was effectively declined no matter what name it’s given) and to stammer the same blather over again and I could tell at this point she felt like an idiot for having to say it.
Bottom line is card companies have Blizzard and other similar companies auto-flagged as fraud risks and it’s stupid. You should call your card company and hand it to them about this, because that shouldn’t be a thing.

Sometimes the monthly renewal transaction goes through France. This is an automatic decline on my debit card. It seems weird and borderline shady that they would do this.
Yea thats what happened to me, i just called them and tell them to allow charges from blizz
Yeah. The girl admitted my account was already flagged at my request to allow all charges from Blizzard. Still doesn’t prevent headaches.

yea that has happened to me multiple times with my old bank thats why i ended up dropping them especially with out of state transactions which is pretty much like 99% of my transactions.
they were supposed to notify me as well when locking my card but 50% of the time they lock it with no notification so i’d go to the store try to buy something only to find out my card got lock and would have to call to unlock it. like a 10-15minute process because they ask questions on what i am buying and all that.
I had that problem a month or so ago. This time I just paid with ingame gold.
Idk Blizzard transactions have been acting up for a while now.
took me a while to buy something. I’d just get a blank blue window.
Worked after I closed and waited for like 5 minutes.
