why can’t they just up the particle effects like the old bloody dancing steel etc. like imagine the bloody dancing steel but black instead. would be so sick.

It caused performance issues for players. This is why they originally nerfed them. After the nerf, I’m sure they decided to not make them anymore due to it originally causing issues.
I agree with not making illusions like that. If it ruins the game of other players, then it should be in the game.

or at the very least, well into the ptr cycle
You know I actually recently discovered a really cool feature in the graphics options called Particle Density, and wouldn’t you know it, it allows you to control the amount of particles your computer has to process if yours isn’t up to the challenge. I think that with this find, we should add the particles back, since now it is possible to circumvent these performance troubles.
It actually looks like someone in this thread might have it.

hmm, interesting concept. I bet the tesseract thing looks really awkward on some weapons, like that 2hander. Looks unique tho so points for that
While that is an amazing feature, players should not have to turn it down because they implement an illusion for PvP.
Personally, I think the enchants we are getting now, from dreadflame in BfA to the ones we got in SL, are the best!
