Careful making that argument, that’s an argument for damage buffs. Killing spree and dread blades are legitimate burst options. Play with MA and you’ll see how it can be enabled. The problem is they don’t hurt plate targets. The damage from hitting a plate target and a leather/mail/cloth target during that burst window is 10-15k damage.
I wish people would stop touting shadow dance as this it’s the only control tool available to rogues. Outlaw was better at enabling burst windows for partners when BTE was a ranged stun on < 20 second cd. But don’t worry, it DR’d stuns in PVE so it can’t have that.

No. Killing spree is junk for burst. In pve you are going to get about 12-14k from it on about a 1 min cooldown with combo point dumps. In pvp where you aren’t going to just be PvEing your target dumping combo points constantly it is easily going to be a 1.5 min cooldown. So after versatility removing 30% of that damage and ignore it already doing less in pvp you would be ‘bursting’ people for 9-10k every 1.5 minutes?
It’s funny because they removed all damage enabling parts of bte in the same time, no reason it couldn’t have just been expose armor filling that maintenance Debuff role while leaving the stun alone

Tell you what, I’ll go play real games this week instead of helping people gear alts on a spec that’s suffering in this plate meta. I haven’t even taken PVP seriously this expansion on the general principle of Divine toll, convoke, combust and holy paladins are just flat out busted.

Why would I take this game seriously at this point in my life? I’ve made gladiator, I’ve cleared the highest content before and this is some of the dumbest game balancing I’ve seen in a long time.
When some classes can hit for 17k-25k in a single GCD (42%-62% of high end gear health), why on earth would you take this seriously enough to tryhard. Why would you bother with mythic raiding when the amount of time commitment there is insane. I’m sorry, I’m too old to be able to spend 3-4 hours straight, 2-4 nights a week on a hobby (because that’s what it means to take this seriously at the beginning of the expansion ). At this point in my life, I play this game for fun. I’m smart enough to look at some classes balances and go, this is garbage why would I put myself through this.
They complained about because deadshot was an azerite trait and sanguine was punishing for using it. It’s a non issue in this expansion because deadshot doesn’t exist and sanguine is 2 weeks out 12.
side note: If one person is pugging heroic nathria for the first time, they gonna have some pretty bad parses, oh look I did a 78th percentile on artificer pogchamp. A consistent raid group is going to have better parses because everyone is a good player and not a pug. DPS cd ramps don’t falldown enough because everyone pumps. It’s why a holy paladin pulled 14k DPS single target in MDI in DOS.
