I like using Hunters, i like using guns in games, there is also a gun model i really like using, i also like having a permanent pet that help living longer during fight. But Hunters have no on demand self heal. Exhilaration heal only 30% and is on a 2 minute cooldown, Spirit Mend doesn’t heal much and is on a 30 second cooldown, Leech depend on damage you do and having a Ferocity pet out. I sometimes make Huntard mistake while in dungeon after pressing TAB i accidentally shoot another group of enemies making making things difficult since i was not paying attention to what i was targeting (very afraid if this keep happening and i can’t work better on it people are gonna get pissed, kick me and put me on ignore).
Shaman Enhancement is squishy and i don’t like being Elemental/Restoration, i really love being able to heal on demand and the big heal with maelstrom weapon, I really love the proc (when they happen) and melting my opponent face with my axes. Soloing group quest can be harder to do with a Shaman then a Hunter, i hate that Earth/Fire Elemental cannot be permanent pet (beside Torghast where i heard they can be permanent depending on the setup you use).
I know this post is ridiculous and people probably will be wondering why the hell i was posting that. Anyway anyone has had issue picking class they want to play before? I recently suddenly felt like i want to switch constantly and i need to break from this cycle.

It’s not ridiculous. You are looking for answers. I have them.
Play a fury Warrior.
You’re welcome.
TLDR, it’s hard to pick a new class to try. So, try several. Use the class trial option to try out the high level versions if your curious. I think you’ll find something you like.
I remember 13 years ago when I started doing groups with my main (hunter) and I had trouble clicking on mobs. Tabbing gave the problem you mentioned. I finally came up with a macro that let me target what the tank was targeting so I didn’t shoot non-engaged mobs. I’ve tried all classes over the years, play the ones I enjoy and ignore the ones I don’t. With each xpac, things change and I re-evaluate what ones I enjoy (hunters have always passed muster). I don’t worry so much about self healing if I have threat mitigators and/or cc. Not sure it’s pertinent now since I don’t play retail but in the past (i.e., classic) there was always bandages, potions and food. Anyway, that’s my rambling 2 cents worth. Hope it’s of some use.
If you choose A Ret Paladin, you will choose correctly, for we are The Greatest of All Living Things.
Blood Death Knight. I love that when I need healing, my best option is to start hitting something.
I have 24 warriors, so no.

Personally, I prefer Arcane Mages.
You basically get Arcane Blast and Arcane Barrage from the get go. Arcane Missiles at level 13. Those 3 will keep you a juggernaut all the way to level 60, There are other damage spells that you will learn but those 3 are the key.
Defensive spells is a good shield, rapid mana regen and a couple of dispells.
You can die fast if you do not watch what you are doing. There is a reason they are known as Glass Cannons.
I have 4 of them at various levels, they are so fun to play.
There is a WoW class randomizer it even randomizes your race and spec but I can’t post the link because I apparently haven’t posted enough yet but you can search it
Its called “World of Warcraft Random Character Selector”
No joke, in MMORPGs I tend to play the Warrior or Barbarian equivalent at times. I just randomly decided to make an Enhancement Shaman and I loved it ever since.
Just sounds like paralysis through analysis OP. Try the first out to as far as you enjoy, if it doesn’t work out into option 2 and so on.
(To me all the casters are awesome)
My solution was to do Trials. You may also find that one class works better for you with a particular race. (As odd as it sounds, I found using transmog on my warrior made her more fun to play.)
I mained Ele Shaman or Holy Paladin or both at the same time from WotLK thru WoD.
After that, I kind of felt like I want to try something new instead of playing the same classes all the time, so I used the Legion PTR to test out every class and deliberately chose one I hadn’t mained before.
Since then I’ve really struggled to really “click” with any class. I just don’t think any of them are particularly interesting to play. At least not moreso than any other class. I still have this desire to not just go with my “default” all the time, but I struggle to settle on anything in particular.
That includes the Holy Paladin / Ele Shaman, btw. It’s not that I love how they play, it’s that I’m familiar with them so they still end up being my fallback if I want to mess with another character.
BM hunter feels the best in this game because of free movement and a nice number of buttons. BM hunter feels like you’re breathing fresh air, while all other classes have some form of smog clogging up their lungs.
Unholy DK TANK was MY CLASS. The moment it was created it was perfect for me. Everything I’ve played since has been lackluster.
I will never forgive Blizz for taking away my best class.
We should HAVE classes and specs that stand out as PERFECT to us, that mesh with our playstyles better, that immerse us better in the fantasy of the game.

Honestly in this age of borrowed power I just play the classes that find themselves with weird unique to this time builds that will likely be gone in a year. In bfa it was shadowpriest and 8.3 icecap frost dk. In shadowlands I am greatly enjoying kyrian arcane.
I have all classes but several hunters, and I main hunters. Feign death and pocket tank are too good to pass up.
You are not exactly wrong here
Shaman has it pocket tank as well but its on a timer.

every time ive gotten attached to a class, ion and company butcher it.
I learned to just play nearly every class and dont get attached to any of them too much.
ive got one spec of each class I like to play other than warrior and rogue, for the most part.
Theyd have to ruin them all to ruin my game now, lol.
I just play resto shammy at max level, I can still solo. I don’t really like any of the other heals.
