Anyone feel like monk transmogs could be better?

I look at this image:

And immediately wish we had transmogs like this, that actually fit the theme of a fantasy monk.

Some of the transmogs we have for monks right now in-game just seem so out-of-place and strangely designed. This image makes me wish monks had transmogs as cool as those for paladins and druids. You know? I want transmogs that actually satisfy the theme of the class, and the transmogs we had for BFA just seemed so weird, especially the Ny’alotha raid ones. Zero good monk transmogs to come out of this expansion.

Here’s to hoping that Shadowlands gives better monk transmogs.

Blizz has said that tier sets should be returning, but sometime after the first raid. It would be nice to get some nice looking monk themed transmogs. I agree that most of the transmogs from a complete set do not look that good

Completely support this idea. Monks end up in this weird hand me downs from rogues and druids.

That image you link is amazing and makes me wish it was more than fan art.

And I know it won’t be a popular opinion but we need LESS beer theme in monk sets. More of this Gi and Hakama, less of the kegs on the shoulders.

I don’t know, the beer (technically brew) theme works for Brewmasters, hence their name, so maybe keeping a few transmog sets with brews around a rope waist cord can help satisfy that side of the fantasy monk.

But I definitely agree with you. I want to see more Gi and Hakama-style clothing, not this weird plate armor that we have right now in-game.

That’s what I’m hoping, and if we don’t get actually-good monk-themed transmog sets, then that’s going to be a huge disappointment, because that’s one of the reasons why people don’t play monk. Their current transmogs have inaccurate designs and don’t fit the theme well.

This is a huge slap in the face for role players who want to RP a monk, but can’t because the designs don’t accurately fit the theme.

I’d like to see more Japanese style sets. Think Ryu from Street Fighter, or anything from Shinobi.

I agree, I also really wish that monks could xmog 2 handed swords, Hunters get them as an agi class so why shouldnt monks?

You can. The salvage yard set for the monk from Warlord’s of Draenor was the Ascetic’s set. It had invisible shoulders and gloves (that could not be used for transmog at the time).

I really think the best monk mog is from the WoD garrison scrap hut. With the bruce lee style shirt.

There is a glove mog you can get from island xpos that look like literal fist wraps.
I just wish it had a better color, which is why I wish they would add a color platelet to mogs.

Tier sets are all “raid” themed now instead of being “class” themed.
