Anyone ever tried demon blades build without a felblade?

Kinda silly that for 4.5 years we have a build that is literally will not function unless you pick two specific talents. And if you don’t pick felblade your only way to start combat would be an autoattack

Thats like if arms warrior had to pick overpower in talents.

Is that like idea of demon hunter builds - make them lose abilities. Demon blades build removes filler. Cycle of hatred removes blade dance.

What next, build that makes eyebeam passive proc?

People played demonic appetite with demon blades in Nyalotha with expedient corruptions and this was the build during pre-patch as well. So yeah lots of people have tried it out.

If you’re blood elf you can arcane torrent immo aura then eye beam.

that’s just silly, why would anyone play like this. When i was checking logs for builds during nyalotha top was always with our regular build with appetite and maybe 2 people with full demon blade+felblade

Never actually seen any demon hunter that experiment with builds like this.

It’s funny that in SL you can turn your 2-button build into one button build. Just go blind fury, demon blades and cycle of hatred… And you will just spam chaos strike. Hilarious.

I should actually try it. It sounds so dumb and i already got collective anguish.

the theory behind demon blades is for them to properly do their job and not to let you fury starve, you need a lot of haste .I would say 20%base is a solid starting point and anything below will still feel lacking. eye beam full channel gives another 15% haste while mete via demonic or regular will add more and thats the reason u almost never fury dry during meta windows. i agree that generating resources on dh feels a hassle thats why a lot of ppl choosing the DB but i agree a lot of the dh talents especially the early ones feels like they need to be baseline.

If you’re kyrian you can kind of go without it if you take demonic appetite (you get a full fury bar on a minute cooldown), but it’s still awkward.

TBH, Demon Blades should be reworked to have felblade baked into it, and have it replace demon’s bite. I don’t think anyone’s taking felblade without demon blades.

If you take collective anguish, you take glaive tempest. Period.

You really don’t understand the demon hunter class. Like at all. It’s fine to not know something but when you’re constantly creating threads and commenting about how terrible DH’s are while you clearly do not know how to play one, it’s a problem. I’m not convinced you’re here to have a good discussion. I believe you’re here to troll the dh forums. That said, I will try to help you, so at least I can say I did that much.

These are the two highest priority builds imo:

  1. collective anguish legendary.
    113x121
Collective anguish with this build will often sim higher depending on your level of mastery. The higher your mastery, the better this build will perform in ST when compared to chaos theory. This build is universally applicable (in pve).
With this build, you will press:
  2. demon’s bite
  3. chaos strike
  4. glaive tempest
  5. immolation aura
  6. eye beam
  7. death sweep if two or more targets, blade dance if three or more targets (yes, despite the wild amount of misinformation present in the wow forums as to whether you press blade dance when spec’d into cycle of hatred, this is the correct way to play)

So, no. It is not a one button spec. You may go demon blades and felblade with it, as the two often sim very close to each other in ST (again depending on secondary stats and if an enh shaman is present), but the moment you bring in at least one additional add, you play blind fury.

Otherwise, you play chaos theory first blood build, with demon blades / felblade personally simming higher for me. You have yet to post on an actual dh main, and based on the many posts you’ve created, I am confident the nominal % difference between blind fury / IH and demon blades / felblade build will not affect your performance in pve, so feel free to play what you prefer.

you pick glaive tempest anyway. One-button related to spammable button, not cooldowns. Ofc it’s more then literally one button with dashes, eyebeam glaive throw etc

I know demon hunter builds, silly. There are guides, there are warcraft logs. It’s you reading wrong and understand wrong.

The “one button spec” is theoretical possibility that will have trash damage. You know. For fun.

I’m playing demon hunter since legion pre-patch. I know how to play it. Damn, i’ve been top5 in my guild in heroic sheaker in 25ppl raid. Sure i’m not mythic raider and don’t even do high keys cause they boring as hell. But i am dh main and understand the class fine.

Also my transmog is better than yours.

Thanks, tells me all I need to know.
You may play any build you want to play and you will perform at a satisfactory level for the content you prefer to play.

Or, you can continue to meme the dh forums and trash post the class with every post you make.

And no, I like my demonic gladiator’s tabard and 2.4K+ legion arena weapon enchant quite a bit more than your transmog

you really picked the wrong class to be elitist about it. DH is for fun. Double jumps, edgy voice lines.

I’m not being an elitist by telling you your talent build will not affect whether your guild earns aotc in a raid season.

Sounds like an opinion.

If you believe dh is only for fun, perhaps you should avoid conversations about how to perform well with one, considering performance is clearly not your concern. There’s nothing wrong with being casual and wanting to have fun. There is something wrong with spreading misinformation.

You’re truly unique you know.
