-I remember having a beastly lead a few times and as they were explaining the tactics and setting up plan, they’d fall off and we’d be at the beach frozen waiting for them to swim. We still won a few times.
“GET OFF THE BEACH!!!”
-I forgot about this!!! It was so hilarious, albeit annoying to see 3/4 of your team out in the beach as the rest of the raid was stuck in the final chamber.
“Disarm bombs!”
-I used to be the #1 bomb disarmer in those old days on my rogue, hence, Packofcrows-“Bomb Squad Specialist” title. XD
“DISPEL THE DEMOS! DISPEL!”
-HAHAHAHA fun times. Speaking of dispels, this bg taught me that I could dispel poisons as a druid. I didn’t know about this prior to the bg. All part of the druid toolkit.
What about a SOTA rebuild? Add more ways to access the last door, flying bg vehicles with like a 30 second timer then you parachute down? And, what about adding more things to do in a bg? Small short quests? Kinda like AV.
I feel like were due for a SOTA revival.
Seems as if were being limited (conditioned?) more in WoW pvp now. Less “extra stuff to do” as social media and culture seems to be pushing us towards quicker and shorter interactions. I miss having the choice to do multiple things in bgs, yet still feel as an integral part of the bg.
Class specific stuff was so fun.
i.e. if i’m on my rogue, I shadowstep to end with bombs and begin destroying chamber door. If on my druid, i’m slowing/rooting demos and graveyards so enemy takes longer to advance as well as destroying guns. If i’m on my pali or war, then i’m defending demos and killing enemy players.
In AV, i’d be collecting goats, looting enemy bodies or capturing mines. Something like this for SOTA might work?
