Kinda weird. The shield is still there. But it’s invisible. Doesn’t display on the in-game avatar. Loading into an instance pops it back in. Leaving the instance back into the open world deletes it again.

It’s happened to me for a little bit now, but I don’t pay it much attention. You could try /reload if an instance is resetting the model in game.

My holy pally’s shield seems to stay present, do I need to do something to trigger it disappearing? I’ve just been using her to kill the duck boss, I haven’t done instances or anything outside of the open world.
I’ve had this happen to me a few times - simply unsheathing resolves for me, which may be your most lightweight fix if it works.
Yea I tried that. As well as /reload. Neither works. Sometimes changing my spec back forth works though.
Haven’t seen that one but then again I’ve been DPSing on my warrior for a few weeks so my sham is the only character with a shield.

This happens to me because for some reason my profession equipment buff automatically applies itself when I log in. So my character is in this weird state of wearing their normal gear, but the game thinks I should be wearing profession gear and my shield doesn’t appear. I just click the buff off and my shield is back.
Yea. Same thing must be happening to me. No profession buff on my character but the game thinks its there. So nothing I can do about it.
