Coming in 11.0.5 with all the other exciting buffs, there’s a nerf happening to Ascendance that no longer reduces the CD on Stormstrike/Windstrike. I didn’t see anything that made up for this. So correct me if I’m wrong, but that is an incredible nerf that will probably kill Ascendance despite the fact it’s getting a nice CD reduction to bring it in line with other comparable CDs. I think a little nerf is probably warranted for the CD reduction on Ascendance, but not an entire mechanic of an ability, though.
Nerf doesn’t matter. You have two charges of ss and between frost witch resets and stormbringer resets you can spam windstrike every global

I did some testing on ptr and during procs and on use ascendance I spam wind strike more than live currently.

Plus the up time of ascendance is going to be much higher. With so many things that proc it now its up a lot.

Now that LB/CL/Tempest proc it, main hand attacks like SS still proc it correct?
The notes weren’t clear on that.
Main hand attacks proc what? Main hand has only been for wind fury procs and ss was the only dre proc ability before. Now SS does not proc dre (supposed to only be CL/LB/Tempest but voltaic blaze is proccing it for some reason on ptr)

It’s not a nerf. We’ll actually be leaning more into spending MSW stacks now, which will chain a whole lot of procs of DRE.
In one instance in the video he had a 71% uptime on ascendence
