I’m pretty much a solo player these days (I like my 2 yr old more than I like WoW), so I dont usually raid. When I do its just an LFR maybe once a month. Same with mythic+ dungeons. Since I’m not pushing content and more or less just doing WQs getting rep done and saving 7th legion marks for that sweet mount. Everything that “I” do gets pretty much 1 shotted with even a lowly 440 ilevel.
After a while I got irritated having the step out of the eye whenever it popped. I realized i really didnt care that much about the extra DPS because I didnt need it and it was more trouble than it was worth. So I cleansed off enough corruption to just get under where it would proc. I determined for my personal play style the corruption effects just weren’t worth the headache.
Anyone else just say screw it and cleansed it off?

I dislike corruptions and the rest of bfa systems so much i cleansed off my subscription. Using the rest of my game time on the forums.
Most of my alts have up to rank 5 cloak and do either 8% Leech or 3 stacks of Gushing Wounds. Those with rank 15 cloaks do a bunch of 12% stat increases.
I never even got the cloak, that’s how little I care about that entire system. Never touched it.

I have cleansed it all from the start. I hate this system and refuse to do it. I tried visions for a while and hate them so much I stopped leveling the cloak. Still would like to level the cloak to 15 just for transmog and the achievement. But I will never use corruption.
This is the only character I have above 440. My other eight 120s are all in the 420 range and things in the world basically melt in front of them, even the healers.
No intentions of doing anything noteworthy this expansion. Did Uldir the first week on another character and then noped out of doing anything in this expansion. I was keen for Corruption at first, without TF/WF, but god the state of the game is even worse than it was at launch with the system.
I’m just doing whatever, playing the most casual I’ve ever played this game. It’s been a nice change of pace for an expansion tbh.
When corruption came out, I read it and immediately said “naaah, I’m good.”
On all my characters that don’t have the cloak I’ll wear up to 25 corruption. It has very little negative effect as long as I don’t go much higher. Even as a world quest hero the targets are pretty much always dead before the corruption even causes an issue.
I’m over the corruption thing. If I can make it work within the 25 I’ll equip it. If not I just vendor it and forget about it.
I either cleanse corrupted stuff or vendor it. I don’t mess with corruption “upgrades” because I find being randomly attacked by my own cursed underpants to be a nuisance.
And, on a conceptual level, embracing corruption has never worked out for anybody in this franchise.

I was totally into them until they said they would be removing the system entirely. Then I stopped caring immediately.
I’m not exactly in the know about 8.3 endgame content. I only have the cloak on one character and it’s still level 1 (470). I reckon I’ll have to try to level it further simply because Blizz has this stupid, irrational obsession with removing content once an expansion ends, and I would like to get all the cloak appearances and that sweet backpack from Wrathion.
I read the OP’s name and kept laughing randomly for 5 minute, I don’t know what happened.
But yes, corruptions suck to gather.
A fun idea that ended up being too complicated/theorycrafty for me.
Did not like. Would not recommend.
The only thing I used to care about was gear. Haven’t cared much this expansion simply cause gear only counts for like 20% of your dps. Way too many other power systems for me to really care about progession anymore.
