I thought this since their release but I really feel like Evoker should have just been a Heroic Class like Demon Hunter or Death Knight. I feel like rather than making a new race they should have just given the evoker class to every race and given them some Heroic Customization options. I feel like it makes sense too since lorewise Visages are suppose to be whatever the Dractyr view themselves as. For example Wrathion has a human visage while Ebyssian has a High mountain Visage

that would like kill there lore though and the entire point of evokers though? or are you talking about having your visage be whatever you want it to be?

This is why I think visage form always on is dumb. People that advocate for that just don’t want to play Dracthyr. They just want the racials but on a elf/human.

evoker is literally the first class/race combo hero.
originally I don’t think they were meant to be anything but evokers, not the playables.
well maybe if I could transmog as a dragon I’d use it, but until that magical day, visage it is.
For some it’s transmog, for others it’s the hairstyle options for Dracthyr Visage that humans and elves don’t have.
To be honest, I actually like the swapping, like my drake form and wouldn’t use a permanent Visage anyway, but it’s not like there are zero reasons for Evokers to want the option.
I feel like most of the reasons people want it are due to Blizzard poorly handling the release of a new race.
Dracthyr should get more mog options. At the very least the evoker sets since that is a dragon only class. Or they should expand the barber shop options over time.
Other races should get more customizations over time. I still can’t believe that a couple extra hair colors was a point of advertisement for a patch in DF. They should be working more on character customization.
Basically, I believe that if you want to play a Dracthyr you should feel like you are a dragon person all the time. It’s not just a combat form like cat or bear for Druids. Therefore it should have full tmog options. And if you want to play a human or elf with pretty hair colors then Blizzard should be making that for elves or humans.
Picking Dracthyr to be an elf or human all the time is due to blizzard poorly handling character customizations.

i want my transmog and idc how i get it. either the visage form or on other races. im not picky i just dont like the dracthyr race. transmog would help alleviate it though. i love the evoker class but i hate the dracthyr race as much as i love the class because of how lazy it feels.
this should have been the bare minimum or at least make it so when u get the tier piece and get the transmog for it it also goes to the barber shop armor
Wrathion’s visage is more similar to the masc dracthyr visage than not (if you pick short ears it might as well be the same), it even uses the blood elf skeleton.
Also they were billed as playable dragons which would be harder to make work as a class than as a race.
I’d also note a propos of nothing that DH was an extremely limited hero class too and while Monk was open to all the vast majority of monk toons in the game are pandaren. Basically Evoker was a hero class, it just wasn’t a hero class the way DK or Monk were.
