Has anyone else found themselves not doing much Maw related activity and callings?
I havent been to the maw for ages and have left my callings AND mission table to rot.
All i do is gain my renown, do the cov campaign (gain renown), do torghast once a week, raid and pvp.
The fluff stuff didnt last long at all.
The maw is a cool idea with the whole ââjailer donât want you poking around for too longââ thing but honestly it filled up insanely fast on my first run through it.
Had to deal with 10 levels of a debuff, a flying diddler and an assassin while just trying to finish my legendary quest chain. Granted I goofed around and did some rare or something whenever I saw others fighting one but for like your first experience in the maw you would think theyâd be a little bit more lenient until you get your legendary building quest sorted.
If I was a betting elf, pathfinder will be about maw and renown⌠There is a reason why they have not shown us what we need⌠Even though they had it listed from the jump in Legion and BFA⌠Part 1
Havent touched the maw in weeks, i only do my weekly epic calling. basically i cap in pvp and do my renown and torghast for the week and thats it. sick of everything else and might quit after my sub runs out. as a pvper being forced into pve and sever time gating isnt fun to me
I only do the 1 soul quest each week for the +1 renown in the maw. Callings only really if I need anima for the 1000 per week to +1 renown.
Also to the person above a couple posts. Sadly you probably arenât wrong. This garbage development team would tie getting flight to a zone where you canât even use a ground mount. As sort of an extra special fu to those of us who are pro flying.
i stopped doing Maw period
i honestly have no reason to do callings anymore: i have my BiS 184 conduits and i donât need the 1500-2000 gold junk
I definitely quit, my main two reps for my covenant are exalted and the rest are revered, I canât be arsed to keep doing it for no rewards out of the caches.
At most I get some trash to vendor and occasionally a conduit that I donât need for a different spec, never anything useful, no gear, no anima.
I had one more rep tier to reach with venâari but I really donât care about that either, boreghast gets no time from me so her upgrades mean nothing now, and I hate the maw, it gets me no closer to anything in my gear progression whatsoever.
I skip the ones that specifically says to do 3 dailies in a zone. Iâll do the ones that gives an option to run a dungeon or kill rares.
The Maw should be a zone for farming good gear endlessly, like timeless island, not a useless wasteland for farming soul dust and stuff.
as someone who runs layer 8s i donât even need her upgrades, they donât seem worth the effort to unlock
i got the extra death and extra armaments, thatâs all i need, they can give me a tentative gaze all they want
today i discovered being prot in the maw is godmode.
iâm never going there ret again.
iâm not sure but i think a named elite ran away when it saw me.
I think people are underestimating the Mawâs importance. I bought my first socket from Venari yesterday. I think itâs pretty critical to improving our gear.
Please donât bring up timeless isle, I shed a tear of joy every time I think about it.
They let you become a darkwraith and kill your own faction there for fun.

And you could literally be any kind of grinder or explorer, either casually going for small fun things or that insane no life golden serpent mount.
Content wise, at this point I basically stop doing everything except farming mounts
If you arent getting gear though from abyssmal drop rates, sockets are useless
There is no reason to do callings, unless you are starved for conduits, and Iâm not sure what type of player would be. If the calling Tribute rewards gave something not lousy, Iâd probably do them, but I donât even bother with the âepicâ ones anymore. Waste of time.
The Maw is the grey rock between the landing zone and Torgast, right?
Yeah, I walk that rock twice a week.
Iâm still doing them for rep, I like getting exalted with every faction in the game
I stopped playing the game entirely.
Unfortunately I donât have much of a choice with the Maw. I need the sockets. Thankfully I do have the stupid dog mount, but it doesnât make me like the Maw any more.
