I can’t decide between Druid, Hunter, Mage, and Warlock. I’m probably going to end up spending the first few days of Classic’s launch staring at the character screen at this rate. Kms. I’ve never played vanilla, yet I’ve never been this invested in a game before. I’ve been craving for a good MMO for too long.
Not really for me, but that’s because I played Vanilla onwards, and know where I want to start this time.
Since you didn’t, I would highly suggest giving each class a chance to level 20, and deciding there.
For me, 14 years ago, Warrior (this guy) was my 4th pick. But once I got the ability charge I never looked back. It just spoke to me.
Edit: And that might’ve been because I played Hunter, Rogue, and Paladin, before settling on Warrior, and none of the previous had what I wanted…charge.
I’m in the same place. I keep going back and forth. I know I want to play a healer (probably priest/shaman) with a fun useful ranged DPS alt (mage, lock, or hunter). I keep going back and forth on all the various options within those choices. Really excited for it, though. Never played vanilla or tbc when they were out, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the original wow is like.
I want to play shaman like this character here, but resto shamans are just so terrible a PvP in vanilla. Only useful as 30/0/21 ele resto spec. So its either warlock or priest for me
With how phases are going to be staggered and knowing what you know going in, you should be able to play more than 1 class pretty easily. So don’t be too concerned with having a main, not early on anyway.
A bit… It’s whether I main a lock and alt a rogue… Main a rogue and alt the warlock… Or (in a scenario that likely only realistically exists in my head) double main rogue and lock, in two different raid guilds, and without burning out.
I’m torn between Mage and Hunter.
I want to main a Mage, but I also want to level quickly and not have to stop to gather herbs or pinch pennies at the auction house if I need to fill a gear slot. So I want to also have a Hunter to quickly farm herbs and gold with, and to level quickly enough that I’ll be able to get ahead of the pack to do so.
On the one hand if I go with Hunter first I’ll have a means of funneling gold and mats to my Mage. On the other hand if I just bite the bullet and go with Mage first I’ll undoubtedly get to level cap faster, but with a more obnoxious grind.
I’ve been 100% dead set on being a warrior for months now.
Just last week this thought decided to infect my brain: "But maybe.... warlock?"
I’m trying to ignore it.
F/Troll/Shaman. Only thing left to decide is enhance or resto.
Key to remember though, is to play the class that is funnest to you. Don’t be forced into a “meta pick” if you absolutely hate the class/role.
Nah I’m pretty dead set on warlock, this toon has been my main since i joined in late 2005 or early 2006 vanilla… hard to remember. I miss class quests and having actual utility.
My struggle is picking faction. I only rolled alliance back in the day because all my high school friends played alliance (they don’t play anymore) but undead lock has always spoken to me so I think thats how I’m going to go. I have no dumb high school friends to race block me now lol!
Druid gonna be first 60. Then probably Warlock.
Yes! And it is terrible.
Right there with ya. I’ve been leaning mage, possibly rogue. Maybe warrior, or lock. Perhaps hunter, or pally. Fml
Tauren Shaman, Undead Mage, and Night Elf Hunter are going to be the three classes that I level and play long-term. I’m absolutely planning to rank on my Mage since R12 provides some BiS PvP pieces, but on Shaman and Hunter it’s a little unnecessary. I may do it on my Shaman if my server gets blessed with an honor wizard that sets up ranking brackets that people agree to adhere to similar to some pserver communities since it cuts down the grind substantially, but that’s a lot of effort for just R12 boots (better items in every other slot from PvE).
I know exactly what 5 classes I’m playing. Is that indecisive?
Naaah, I’ve been pretty dead set for months.
Gnome Warlock
NE Druid alt
Dwarf Rogue alt
A couple of various CD alt’s.
Down the road, probably more alts, except pally and warrior!
Last week I was very indecisive as well. But then I remembered how much I’ve always enjoyed Hunter, and I’m one of those weirdos who actually enjoyed feeding the pet, carrying ammo, and the old gun sounds. It also solidified my profession choices too, because naturally I want to make my own ammo to save money and making my own guns while leveling is nice too.
I was certain at one point that I wanted to main a Priest due to ease of guild invitation, basically guaranteed raid spot if I heal, and access to Atiesh. But… ya know, being a Hunter overall just sounded much more fun from a gameplay standpoint as well as from a character point of view.
Being a lone survivalist, taking odd jobs for the coin and a roof over my head every once in a while, otherwise just living off the land as I pursue greater and more dangerous prey… And of course, who could forget Fwufflebuns and Co.!
That, and I won’t have to spend upwards of 50 gold on respecs every time I want to PvP or DPS.
That’s a negative ghost rider.
I’ve had it narrowed to three classes for the past year and a half, and cycle my choice between them a dozen times a day.
Back in 2017 October i was depress and loss interest in retail. Was going try looking for private server i heard so much about. Then i realise Blizzcon coming the next month, so i guess i wait to see anything special announce. Then classic announced and I was excited when it did.
After that i gather information about classic and plan what to play. Till this day i’m still cant decide what to play due to time restriction i have i think will have enough time for 2 toons. If i have planty of free time then i guess it won’t be a problem.
Easy one out: warrior, rogue and mage. I know they are good, but i just don’t like them.
I didn’t play shaman before, i boosted 1 in WOD but i barey play it. I like shaman elemental spell effect, i don’t mind healing. I just uncertain which race to roll (all their racials looks good) and i don’t know if i can manage the totems very well.
Warlock is my 1st toon, and i still love it. Maybe i’ll switch to undead this time cause orc on the dreadsteed look like an adult on a kid bike. Not sure which profession to pick(mine/engineering or tailor/enchant).
Rolling priest(uncertain which horde race) and offer my healing service in dungeon will also go tailor enchanting sound like a good plan, but as time passes my interest on priest faded.
Same goes with my druid with herb alchemy plan.
There something special about hunter as i am clueless about them so if i roll one it will be a whole new experiance (a genuine huntard).
I like the feed pet to keep pet happy thing. Planning making a silly macro that talk to my pet while feeding them. Like " Oh whos my good kitty? yes you are, OH YES YOU ARE. Do you want a salted fish? DO YOU WANT SALTED FISH? Here you go." But i’m not really sure i want to roll one.
While i am a hordy, but i don’t hate the alliance so i can see myself healing as a dwarf holy paladin on a different server and due to on different server means i have no support on other toons and leveling a paladin kinda boring.
I guess when i finally get to login classic wow, my problem will be solved
