Anyone else sit indian style?

Criss cross apple sauce/Indian style?

Whatever you call it. Is there anyone else here that sits like that in your chair?

I went to the doctor today and my blood circulation isn’t what it used to be. It can apparently lead to problems. My legs have been sore… Falling asleep often and losing feelings. I’ve done this for years since I was a little kid.

Can anyone relate? Did you stop? I can’t. Just like sleeping on my side. It’s bad, I can’t stop that either. How’s your posture? How do you fix it?

I sit like that, and also basically every other way that a human body can fit into a chair.

I get stiff if I’m in the same position for more than a few minutes so I tend to fidget a lot.

I had heard the opposite, and I can’t get myself to feel comfortable on my side no matter what lol

I switch which leg I’m sitting on often.

I also sleep on my arms over a pillow instead of using the pillow.

News to me that all this stuff is bad for you. I knew sleeping on your side is not good… Because I have the neck pain.

I really wish I could get in better habits.

Well, I have my computer raised and I use a drafting chair. I sometimes sit, sometimes stand. Sometimes I even bounce around a bit.

Hmmm not frequently since grade school. If I’m on the floor now of days, I sit in butterfly position and have my knees bob up and down non-stop to get my legs warm for stretching before a workout.

I wish I could have a standing desk, I have a fantasy that I’d be in much better shape and posture if I could spend 40 hours a week at one of those instead of hunched over my desk from 1986.

I used to sit in a drafting chair at work and it helped a lot.

I hated how much time I spent at a desk because my hobby included that too. So I quit my job. Lmao.

I got a new one though way more active thankfully. But every chance I get I’m slumped over and it’s causing so many problems :frowning:

I have this problem, especially at work. I won’t notice it until my leg goes numb lol. Seems bad, but we’ll see where this takes me in life!

Yes it’s bad for your alignment.

I just thought of a good way of coming on to my wife now! I can’t share it with the forum, but believe me, it’s a 10/10 husband joke.

Call me crazy, but I keep a padded footrest under my desk. I just like my feet/legs elevated.

I don’t have a standing desk. I bought a real cheap TV stand and put it on top of my desk (sans the wheels it came with). That raised my monitor to eye-level when standing. I attached a shelf (just a board, really) to the front of the TV stand to hold my keyboard and mouse. Got a drafting chair that’s the same height as if I’m standing.

I sit in positions even yoga instructors don’t have a name for

The downward Scoliosis is my favorite

Oh neat. I wonder if I could get away with that if I just showed up in the office with it one day.

Probably not, but a guy can dream.
