Quitting?

The game? No! Absolutely not!!!

However, my long-time mage main, Mistwynd, is now my unplayed alt.

I’m having fun on my new main, Razortail the Evoker.

I get it you’re the “git gud” crowd that has killed this game.

Well, god among mages sometimes people don’t want to go all out on a trash mob when doing random stuff

This kind of reply really triggers me. You do realize that there are dozens of different reasons why someone might like a class, right? And the level of complexity is just one of them. Personally, I play Arcane because of the spec fantasy and because imo it has the best spell visuals of any class. I hate the added level of complexity and the endless gimmicks they keep forcing on Arcane but I still play in spite of that because I just love the purple VFX sparkles. It’s really that simple for some people. The fact that you diehard folks can’t seem to understand that reality is just as incomprehensible to us as our refusal to min/max in every aspect of the game must be to you all.

(arcane) At Ilvl 340 PVP is very tough. I spend pvp time in the middle of the pack. With so much room to grow I am cautiously optimistic that I can make my mage work there which is where I spend most of my time. Arcane does fine in PVE.

Someone mentioned earlier a mage is ez to keep alive in PVP? I see few if any mages doing well in PVP ATM. I have a bunch of toons almost all of them are easier to play then a mage for DPS and keeping alive, at least for now. hunter, warrior, priest, paladin, warlock all much easier to play ATM. (all 60, the mage is the only one I play ATM)

Don’t you agree that mages require more efforts than lets say a DK or a Hunter ?

We don’t like mere mortals weapons touching our skins… so we do have to dance and alter the very fabric of time in order to keep us alive.

Being squishy is part of a mage lore. You cant play a mage like a brawler. You need tactic, timing and positioning.

I’m well aware that it need more efforts than most other classes to have similar results.
Somehow, you gotta accept that. Those unwilling to make that extra effort and complaining endlessly : “cries cries mages suckssss cries cries” just didnt pick the right class.

You need to anticipate damage and cast a spell BEFORE you get it compared to most other classes were they heal AFTER getting hit. That’s why a warlock is so much easier than a mage

Back in the days, pallies were quite OP and could solo content that a mage could never dream off. Mages arent jack of all trade, they are specialized. Trying to do things with a mage that isn’t suited for it bring frustration.

If I end up face to face with a fully geared Demon Hunter in the open world … I won’t challenge him face on, my winning chances are relatively low (cries cries, its unfair DH are OP! ) - No, they are different.

If it’s some shaman or an inattentive monk… I will melt them faster than butter in the microwave.

There is many ways of playing this game, both PVE and PVP. Mages are very unique classes that is not suited for everyone.

Mages do have a lot of cc. the issue is they are all popped after one pull since we hit like wet noodles.
