I’ve played since the beginning, but this time i’m struggling to even finish leveling my mage at 58. The terrain in these zones is awful. The story isn’t very engaging. I’m thinking of just putting it onto the shelf until 9.1, give them time to work on this.
Has anyone else thought the same?
The expansion is less than 1 week old. Why are you deciding this so fast?
The magic i’ve felt normally every xpac is missing here. For me at least.
I’m almost to that point, with all this time-gating of content. BORING.

Sorta but not really. I’m going to do the bare minimum to gradually raise my rep, build my covenant yadda yadda yadda because the most annoying thing in the world are people that come back months later with nothing done and then cry “iT tAkEs So LoNg iTs No FuN wHaT wErE tHeY tHiNkInG!”
You felt this “magic” for the bad expansions? I don’t quite believe you.
ill come back if and when they make torghast more bearable and not mandatory… making it mandatory makes me hate it more
I don’t think the terrain and the story quests are going to change any time soon.
I think this is probably the best thing WoW has put out in a long time. WoD is the only better leveling experience and the writing is better than WoD.
Goblin gliders and a 3d movement ability help a lot though.
i feel the same way. still no clue what sylvanas’ motivation and endgame are. it all just feels forced and i have no vested interest in the story
How many episodes of a tv show to you watch before you decide it isn’t work watching? How far into a book to you give the author a chance before you put the book down? Judging things on the first impression is the human norm.
Like i care what some stranger believes. I feel the way i do about it whether or not you agree matters not to me.
TV show: first episode.
Book: first chapter.
This i agree with. If it doesn’t hook you on the first episodes or chapter there’s no reason to think it will get any better later.
It’s looking like 9.1 is when I’ll make my decision on buying SL. You are not alone in putting SL on hold for a while. No fly, no buy, plus let’s see what else Blizz has in store for 9.1.

Remember watching the opening of Game of Thrones, with the Wight beheading some of the Night Watch? You didn’t need someone to tell you to come back for episode 2, or season 2 or whatever - you got hooked in those opening moments.

The first 3 episodes of GoT were extremely underwhelming.
Its natural to judge things based on first impressions, it is also a misleading course of action most of the time.
