Yeah the game looks incredible on an OLED. Hell everything does. I’m just worried about static UI elements.
Is there addons that completely hide the UI when out of combat?

Ive had an oled for a while and dont have any issues with static elements, ive even stayed logged into classic for 15+ hours and nothing is wrong.
Bartender will hide your… bars… when out of combat, and I think it will do the same for character/target/party frames.
Not sure if there’s anything that offers that option for the minimap and attendant frame.
Most TVs these days have protection against burn in. I game for several hours with static images for years now on my LG CX and never had a issue. You would be hearing about it a lot due to consoles if it was a big issue.
If you don’t mind manually switching, you can just press Alt-Z to hide all the UI elements (or you used to be able to, haven’t verified since new UI changes).
If you want it automatic on entry to and exit from combat, then an add-on or weak-aura is required.
I was looking at getting the LG C1 for PC gaming and after this one guys review, I definitely wouldn’t be that worried about burn in. At least with the C1 anyways.
LG C1 would be great, it’s to replace the model I use LG CX which is the best TV I have ever used and even use it as monitor for PC gaming too.
The effectiveness of burn in protection seems to vary a lot depending on use and exact model of display though. Linus of LTT fame for example started seeing burn-in on his 42" Asus WOLED gaming monitor after just a month of usage. Meanwhile, others using that fancy new Alienware QD-OLED ultrawide aren’t reporting burn-in at all even after months of constant use.
As long as you turn it off at night so it can turn on maintenance mode like pixel refresh when you are sleeping and its not stuck on static images then burn in isn’t really an issue these days with higher end models like LG CX or C1.
Ahh damn I have the 42" C2, I’ll probably end up getting it. I do have a warranty but dno’t want to have to use it too soon.
Don’t the new ones also come with pixel shifting, or am I thinking of some older OLEDs trying to combat burn-in?
No idea tbh
