Anyone else play both WoW and FFXIV and are super hyped about this year?
War Within is sounding great and last nights Fanfest/Dawntrail look amazing. Outside of Rebirth and Dragon’s Dogma 2 I’m going to be too busy with these MMO’s to care about much else.

Me, I’m always subbed to both. ! I’m hoping for news on female hrothgar. Dawntrail does look amazing. I just upgraded my pc.

Nvm looks like they were announced! Sweet. Honestly the face looks kinda odd. Not sure if i’ll fantasia. That new job is super cute though.

I do, fellow WoW and FFXIV player. Currently taking a break from FFXIV though after that latest reveal of Dawntrail I’m damn near tempted to resub even if it’s months away.

Yea, Female Hrothgar isn’t really my cup of tea. Happy for those who get to play it. Personally I’ll probably stay with Hyur or go Au Ra. Because I’m a massive edgelord.

Im blown. Both games will have content patches on the 16th and both are tentatively scheduled for Summer.

Imma need sleep eventually….

I also really really loved what I saw of the Pictomancer, so I guess my jobs in that game will be Tank (still deciding), Sage, Dancer, Viper, and Pictomancer. Which ya know…is a lot.

Trying to be my absolute worst self and enter that Kirito life with viper.

Just my absolute worst self for 2024.

As someone with all tanks maxed lemme help you.

If you want to ignore tankbusters with a big absord go DRK
If you want to play a dps rotation go GNB
if you want to solo everything go WAR
If you want to be able both Tank and Heal/carry a group with dead healers go PAL

I like that they went with Pictomancer from FFVI it’s such an unexpected choice but a welcome one it looks fun.

I want a caster that isn’t as frustrating as BLM to mess up but more complex than SMN/RDM

I used to play both but I ended up unsubbing from FF XIV a couple of months back with no real plans to return in the near future. After a decade of playing, it only took one expansion to kill my love for the game, and that was Endwalker. I’m glad that other people are excited for Dawntrail. I wish I could feel the same. I really do. If EW hadn’t let me down so bad, I probably would.

I’m debating between FFXIV or War Within and Cata because frankly 11.0 so far looks bland, but I’m waiting to see what it looks like before I buy. If its as boring as DF, I’m probably out.

I’m an ARR player, but hung up my hat after the first tier in EW. I’ll probably come back to whatever comes after Dawntrail, but I’m pretty satisfied with the end of my journey in Eorzea.

This is my general experience, although I didn’t feel as strongly as others. It was mostly… after all that? This is how it ends? Weak

Same hat!

I was playing both for a little while, but lost my spark after finishing the base MSQ of Endwalker. WoW has been a really nice change of pace for me.

I’ve been hoping to get my spark for FFXIV back since I was a dedicated player for ~8 years but the inspiration hasn’t hit me. I worry that if I go back to it, it will end up feeling empty since there’s really nothing to do outside of Instanced Content and I’ve grown so fond of WoW’s exploration and overworld content.

It’s kind of sad, honestly, knowing that you don’t love something the way you used to anymore even if you really want to.

Yeah, this is how I feel for the most part. I guess it helps a little bit that I’ve been playing WoW since well before FF XIV ARR was released, so it was a matter of simply dropping one and focusing more on the other.

I’m taking a page out of the Yoshi P playground, and playing other games :stuck_out_tongue: I figure, if I’m unsubbed for long enough I’ll have a hearty feast of content to come back to. That, at least, will justify the purchase price.

Yeah, Dawntrail will be the first launch I’m going to miss, and it feels very strange to not watch the streams. Didn’t even know it was happening until my DMs blew up.
