Anyone else overwhelmed by corruption?

I’m finding it incredibly difficult to figure out which pieces to use, which pieces to hold on to for later, and what items, if any, to cleanse.

I just got a complaint for cleansing a 60 corruption echoing void off a piece because I got a weapon I want to use and I can’t go running around with 45 in raid. (I know my limits, thing from beyond is a pain in the butt)

By the time I get enough resistance to wear all this crap the expansion will be over and it won’t matter anymore.

Argh.

The belt in question that I was told to not cleanse and just bank was a 25 item level upgrade with better stat allocation. Yeah, I really want to bank that.

Sighs.

I actually have been enjoying the concept of corruption and the risk/reward it offers for builds.
I think we may need more ways to eliminate corruption as a sort of fine tuning mechanism however.

Nope. If you ask that means you don’t min max and or are new to min maxing (I say that 'cause it’s taking into perspective what you actually need, want vs what you do in-game) so it’s really just… look at what it offers… is it something you can benefit from… is the corruption downsides something you can cope with.

Past that it’s not hard or overwhelming.
I didn’t like it. It’s fine on paper… it just doesn’t really interest me.

I just wish there was one more way you could get another 5/10 points of corruption resistance besides leveling the cloak. EVERY ONE of my alts has at least 2 corrupted items but they are all T2/T3 with 25+ corruption. I was never planning on getting them the cloak, but now I cant hardly use any upgrades I get for them. I can live with the slows, but the eyes are too big a pain for me. Cleansing is a waste also.
Bring back WF/TF, at least before a lucky roll was an immediately useable item. Or failing that, just get rid of it altogether, and I’ll just leave for FFIV that much sooner. :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

More underwhelmed here. It’s week 3 and I’m already not interested in doing the heroic raid anymore as M+ provides a much better source for gear - lame.

Running it for corruption RNG isn’t worth it either as I can do the same in M+ more efficiently.

Even then, the effects are not engaging at all. You play the same, and randomly do more damage.

WF/TF should have just been toned down, not removed.

I just check the wowhead guide, it tells you which are better than others.

Well to be fair, you can fairly easily balance both of them depending on where you’re at in both

I’ve just been referencing www.bloodmallet.com to figure it out. Today, finally went over my corruption resistance on 2 characters…will figure out how that is soon enough!

Not by any means overwhelmed though. I like having to balance things, I find it interesting. I liked WF/TF as well, though–I just think it went too far, much like corruption.

I don’t think it’s at all intuitive as to what is best for your class if that’s what you mean.

That being said, I enjoy balancing the corruption not because I like the benefits but because it prevents me from falling asleep during raids since I have to constantly dodge thing from beyond and the big circle and eye.

My point was more related to being the filthiest of casuals I don’t have the inclination, time or gear to attempt to PUG my way past LFR. In Legion WF/TF allowed me to slowly progress my toons during the gap before BfA. The way corruption works that’s not looking like an option so once i get allmy toons LFR geared there’ll be no reason to keep playing. No progress possible, no good gold earning, so why pay blizz. Especially since I’ll be unsubbing no matter what on Shadowlands launch because of Pathfinder.
BfA was OK but I think the corruption system, coupled with upcoming Pathfinder has finally tipped the balance for me towards unsubbing. :see_no_evil::speak_no_evil::hear_no_evil:

I have the opposite problem: all my corrupted pieces are so weak that I can’t break 0 corruption.

It’s just more RNG gear after we said we want less RNG gear.

I’ve been cleansing stuff without the best affixes. I have pants with infinite stars on them, though. So I just keep those in my bag until get the cape high enough. Right now I’m only at 5, because I just came back to the game. And am also not in any rush. Just using mementos atm on skill unlocks on the cape. Then will do the next pages mission for more levels.
