It’s just called crafting now. So crazy how it wasn’t good for the game like 2 years ago, but as long as it costs gold, it’s fine for the game now.
I see what you’re getting at, but at least here it’s only the craftable stuff. It’s not like you’re rolling them dice for a TF raid drop.

wow should go all in and remove gear and make decorating player housing the focus of the game. Without world PvP - or, I guess, with the 4 people that have warmode on - there’s no point in getting gear anymore other than idling and raid logging. End game is essentially just collecting things now.
Hope you warmed up before that stretch.

Deterministic gear upgrades are dramatically more engaging than RNG fueled gear upgrades.
And crafting will never give you gear you don’t expect. At best you might inspire a 3 item level upgrade that you could have still gotten on the gear you were expecting anyways.
people were being FORCED to do world content for titanforging though - all they have to do is buy stuff from the auction house and make an order now.
