Curious to know if anyone else is going “old school” in not using any Addons.
I’m not using any addons.
EDIT: Also, to end the whole “Old School” argument:

Yeah you’re outta your mind. Seek help brother!
Am I? See, I think it depends on the type of content you’re doing. If I’m not Raiding nor PvPing, I don’t see the necessity for addons.
The only addon I might use is Grid for raid-healing but as of now I use none. If I roll a DPS alt I may use Recount. Just cuz I used both in TBC.
Oh and if they ever make a Classic version of my AH mod I might use that too. But as of now still addon free.
When I played back in 2005, everyone used loads of addons for so many things. So to me, using addons IS the authentic experience I remember.
To each their own, of course. Addons certainly aren’t necessary by any means. Addon-less is just not the experience I associate with Classic.
The cast bar addon and Questie are too good.
Atlas loot is also nice
I need my addons sorry
19 addons
I use an addon to make all my bags 1 bag, an addon for auction house so I can scan it often and then see the average auction price for items I find as well as vendor prices, an addon for spell effect timers and cooldowns. Just a few things like that.
Moving important information closer to your character makes it easier to keep track of.
I used lots of add one in vanilla so I’m going old school in classic and using them too.
P.s. if nothing else everyone should have the vendor price add on.
Old school is using addons. Back in the day tons of people used them and the addons did a lot more than they do now.
I never used addons from 2006 until last week.
Now I use VendorPrice and ClassicLFG. Nothing all that game breaking lol. I just was feeling like my choice of vendor trash quest rewards was sometimes inefficient. And our LFG channel has so much Barrens chat crap in it that it’s unreadable so the LFG addon lets me actually play the game and still know what groups are forming.
Vendor Price, GW2 UI, and Questie cause I already did these quests 15 years ago and don’t feel like searching.
But how would you know about Addons before playing the game, back then? This is what I mean by “old school”. We all didn’t know about Addons, until we all wanted something to enhance our Gameplay. Before then, I’m assuming for a little bit, none of used any addons.
using addons IS going old school though? I have never played without them, as far back as 2006.
Read this:
As a warrior a weapon swap addon is inevitable.
You are aware the internet existed in 2005, right? We all could look up addons, just like today. The websites weren’t quite as nice, and the addons tended to have more bugs. But it was generally the same as it is now.
I would actually say Addons were, in some ways, MORE visible back then. Because when someone developed an addon that was a major QoL enhancement, everyone was talking about it on your server.
Do RP addons count? F
I’m aware that it existed, however is that what everybody did, their first go around? Looked for addons, first, before playing WoW, ever? I don’t necessarily believe that.
