I feel like Vault of Incarnates was the perfect balance of difficulty and even clearing through some bosses on Normal was a challenge (pre nerf Dathea, Broodmother, Raz), but I’ve kind of been disappointed at how easy people are able to clear. I’m not a heroic raider by any stretch of means but I was able to pug through everything week 1 and even Fyrakk only took a few attempts on Normal.
I know the community is divided on this as some people just like the faceroll on Normal and only consider Heroic+ is when the difficulty starts, but I guess I’m one of those casuals that enjoys having Normal be 80% faceroll but have the final bosses be a significant challenge to work towards. I don’t go into Normal expecting to be able to clear it all, I always thought that was what LFR was for, and the accomplishment that I felt when I killed Raz for the first time was something awesome.
I didnt saw any difference of difficulty, season 1/2/3 have been really forgiving in normal.
If you think said raid/dungeon is too easy, there is a reason why Heroic/Mythic exist, im not against options or how ppl want to enjoy their game, if someone just want to play LFR im fine with it, if someone want to play only Mithic thats fine too, lets just not try to make certains parts of the game harder, if there is already a mechanic that makes it harder if you want to.
Normal should be easy, this is good if it is easy. You know how many groups out there just want to enjoy WoW with their friendly guild and drink/watch kids while raiding? Not everything needs to be hardcore. Some people play on super old computers, or with bad wifi or constantly play with insane lag, click their buttons at a speed of maybe 20 apm. Why is it so bad that there’s a mode for them to play with their friends and still enjoy raiding?
Not only is Normal easy, but heroic is easy as well for the first time in a really long time.
And I’m not trying to boast, I’ve always been a bad player
There are a few bosses with some mechanics that are “do this and do this” but it’s still straight forward where it’s just group coordination and nothing too crazy.
