I miss the feeling of being in an actual world.

I tried so hard. To enjoy SL. Idk why I stay subbed.

SL feels hollow, and unlived in, even by the dead in the Shadowlands, to me.

How do you feel about it? How do you think about what the expansion makes you feel, as you quest and wander about?

I found the quests on rails and nothing outside of said rails content wise to be…

Unacceptable.

At least Vanilla was BURIED in hidden content.

SL? Not really, maybe not even a drop.

just play casually that is what i do now days. instead of play 8 hours a day every day i just play 1-2 hours on work days and like 8 hours on days off. prior i played 8 hours on days i worked and maybe like 12 hours on my days off. it sucked. got so burnt out

I do, playing TBC. Its awesome.

WoW and Azeroth used to be a world.

A world worth visiting, because the trip was basically free, and the time spent there rewarding, as far as experiences go, in game.

Now?

It’s quests on rails, a story that doesn’t even make sense anymore thanks to one person trying to rewrite the entire game’s previous lore to phone in his imitation Thanos like he matters to us at all while also failing to convey any meaningful reason to fear said Zovaal.

And, to top it all off?

Any zone outside of the quest chain lanes has basically no real content nor substance.

I do. But I have already unsubbed because the game is so boring.
I will come back in 9.2, but I am not optimistic because I just hate this expansion. Will probably last only for a month, but who knows?
WoW doesn’t feel like an open world MMO anymore. Shadowlands is terrible, Chromie Time and phasing is terrible.
I know Chromie Time had good intentions, but I hate how it just split the player base even more. Back then you could go out into old zones at max level and see lowbies questing, it felt like a proper MMO.

I miss the great game wow used to be. Today it’s literally a shell of its former self.

I miss the World of Warcraft of 2004-2010.

I miss the social scene in game.

I miss my guild mates from then.

I miss the days when I had RL friends who played the game.

Those days are gone, and unfortunately I don’t see them ever coming back.

yes i miss it all very mucth

Me either.

Some of it is just the changing times/people becoming less social over time, but some of it is also caused by game design/the dev team.

That’s your nostalgia talking dude.

I do think that overall people (not just gamers) are less social now than they were back then, but when talking about WoW in specific I think many of the changes Blizzard has made over the years, combined with the fact that they are now far too many servers for the population, has gutted the social scene. I don’t think Blizzard really set out to do that, but it happened anyway.

Yeah. I miss it when at work. Can’t wait to get home and eventually settle in to play.
