I don’t know why Anduin has to be exempted with the curse of the Alliance princes. Sylavanas should have shot him dead and raised as a dark priest during BfA or SL. Let him eat all the rage that he’s trying to suppress among his people
Exactly… yet.
While I do think Anduin is one of the very few characters in this game, who survived the horrible writing in wow… so far, which actually makes him one of the characters I like (at least a little bit)… The best thing npcs can wish for in this game is to never be part of anything going on in the story. It usually ends in ruining the things, which were likeable about those npcs. 
So Anduin being on his on journey isn’t really that bad.

I like Anduin. But if he comes back with Wrathion around, the shipping will start again. So I’m not sure I want him back right now.
Not to mention that the Alliance could use some time without a Human on the lead.
Also, Sylvanas is with her boyfriend Nathanos. Anduin should marry a human, Dwarf, Draenei… anything but a High Elf.
If Anduin come back now some annoying shippers will go crazy and start trolling again so… He’d better not to be here when Wrathion shows up around.
Anduin has a fetish for female Draenei.

He better be traveling with Taelia Fordragon and return a man.
Narratively, the character needs a pause. He was front and center for three entire expansions — Legion, BfA, SL — heck, that’s the entire Borrowed Power era. If he sat out the entirety of Dragonflight, that would not be wrong.
Same. Right before they bring Sylv back redeemed and more epic than ever.
Not really. He wasn’t exactly a strong leader, which is too bad bc he could have had a great story. Blizz loves to ruin characters. RIP Sylvanas
After what they did to him in Shadowlands, I really dont want them to subject him to more humiliation.
From being epic even crying, he went in less than a Year to a lore ragdolled plot device.
I give Blizz a polite golf clap at leaning in on his lack of experience and he’ll never fill his dad’s plate boots. But geeze did they dump a load of mental trauma and even more doubt on him just to push him to the sidelines. Heck, whenever he returns Sylvanas would make a better advisor to help him through his troubles then Genn or Jaina.
Let our boy take his respite, he deserves it.
Sidenote, I think it’d be a little fun in a way if he were given the Thrall treatment of becoming a warrior for a bit while still trying to find his light.
THIS. She gave him better advice in the maw in a minute than these two gave him in the span of 2 expansions.
I just want him to be a priest again. Not every ruler of Stormwind should be a beefcake with a sword.
I liked him priestly, it helped separate him from his father.
What happens if he comes back as Anakin?
Yeah, I miss the Mists Anduin. Especially his banter with Wrathion during the cloak questline, how much they sassed eachother.
