There’s a song in that first part!
Yeah, WTH with professions needing raids!?!
I did not purchase SL. The 1st thing I did was go back to Legion and finish off some artifact appearances I had never taken the time to get.
Lately, I’ve been rolling alts, leveling to 20 and then hitting Epic BGs until they’re Level 50. Getting them some decent BfA gear (the cloak questline really helps with that) then starting the process over again. Right now I’m sitting in the queue on a lvl 39 Spriest…less than 10K HKs until I reach the 250K achievement and The Bloodthirsty title.
I’ll figure out what, if anything, to work on after that. And yes, still having fun in old content or wouldn’t be playing.
Legion was amazing even back when we played it, imo. Suramar in particular was an incredible story experience.
I am also skipping SL and instead doing other random things. As of lately, I’ve been working on a mount achievement, and also getting exalted with some old factions. Oddly enough I suddenly took an interest in my garrison so I just might be building that up too and putter around with the buildings and such… many expansions later
I don’t even own SL. Cleared Warlords on an Alt this week. Started an alt in Mop, and doing Bloodmyst on this character.
There’s plenty to do without having to purchase SL.
I loved the Suramar quest line. I even didn’t mind the time gating on that one. I started flying back to Suramar one week and suddenly realized it was completed the week before…I was sad. lol
I disagree wholeheartedly, especially on the higher end of raiding where guilds are consistently doing at least heroic.
In our case some newer recruit worked his way up to officer, clashed with the GM and other main officer, then ran off with about a fourth of our roster to make his own guild and the rest followed like lemmings. So my guild actually kind of exists since about 70% or so followed. I think they got a 2nd mythic boss down.
People can say what they want, I call it like I see it and that is that SL isn’t perfect but it’s not a bad expansion. People on these forums are always complaining for one reason or another and I’ve learned to tune it out.
Do you ever notice how much flying makes it all so much more fun to do older stuff? And how amazing the landscape, little villages; helping out the poor farmer or wife and…the list is too long, but flying makes a difference in enjoyment level - at least for me.
I was only annoyed about the time gating because I was so interested in the zone/race lol.
And then we got the playable nightborne… and the magic was gone.
They are underwhelming…although, you can still make a nice looking female toon in the heritage gear…even if they don’t look like the NPCs.
Yeah, sadly there’s only two hairstyles that are high poly enough to pick from but otherwise they look good enough. I have two, I love the race but they just make me sad to look at. I desperately wish we had more of their themed gear/weapons available though.
Professions are really interesting to me this expansion. Especially at low level stuff too, with the relics of the past.
I have been doing some Nomad Leveling Challenges with focuses on professions, and its so fun to fully deck yourself out in profession gear.
Wish all profession crafts had the relic slot though.
No clue why they don’t.
One of an MMO’s most praise-worthy features is replay. I take my hat off to WoW for that, even though some older content needs a second look after the scaling event.
That’s great and all, but what a sad thing to witness: Playing older content because of disenchantment with the current expansion.
That is in no way a software or company victory of any kind. It’s a player making the best of a bad situation.
Would I do that with the latest model car if I were to buy one?
Nope. I would ever say “This transmission is a pain in the butt, I think I’ll drive my old beater. It’s fun and I still like it.”
Nah.
Nah not by a LONG shot.
True enough, but a great opportunity too. Matter of perspective…
(bad analogy, but get your point,)
Actually patch 9.1.5!
Buckle up it is going to be a ride! Plus, BC is going to help a lot!

I donno, I’m considering spending more time in older content, either level professions on more alts, or what I’ve been thinking is approach in a more noob-way.
I do souls and anima. then back to raids like karazhan for mogs.
Well did…I hit renown 40 on 2 chars. Check marks in the box, check.
So I can skip this part now. Alts…interest to 40 them not there. My Frost DK may never be baroness. She can live with that. She is content to be the death lord.
At least the old stuff If I don’t get my mog it still gives loot. Loot to sell or in the case of BOE’s mail to an armour class who can unlock the appearance.
After I got the lego’s from LFR there went any reason to rerun. I know how much RNG likes me. Going in for conduits? hahahahahahaha.
I mean I got 4 to 6 leather chars per week who can’t even pick up a pair of boots from a TBC raid. At least that fail comes quickly.
Maybe only log my 60 here once a week for covenant crap and to get flushed down the toilet of wow called the maw other than that I have been playing my new favorite class/spec Destruction Warlock.
Been collecting treasures and killing rares in Legion now BFA for the achievements and it is such a nice change of pace not caring about what happens in shadowlands.
Not necessary skipping, but certainly not putting forth any effort.
If the next expansion is not completely mind blowing, regardless of whatever Actilizzard got planned for shadowlands, its over. I’d rather watch reruns on Netflix.
I was slacking when it came to leveling my hunter but I finally did it 2 months after SL launched lmao. I ended up going back to do BFA content since I still want the pathfinder, I’ll run an alt through the SL campaign since I stopped the storyline at Ardenweald. (I was not in the mood)
