I decided this week to take my hunter and get all the pets I’ve ever wanted.
Going to play this character in SL on off days and not care about catch up or all the rules, skip dungeons entirely and do what I want.
This is the first expac that I tried to keep up with all the rules and … mandatory crud and enough’s enuf! I had more fun when I didn’t care.

The 9.0 patch made so much interesting stuff possible between Chromie Time, Party Sync, and the new class situations I could easily see myself not even playing Shadowlands content and still enjoying it.
My favorite thing to do is No-spec leveling!

Yep. Been spending time leveling new alts and going back to finish stuff in Legion and even BfA. Unsurprisingly, I’m enjoying BfA even more than I did in the last 2 years when we were stuck in it. That always seems to happen.

Took 3 toons through BFA and enjoyed it, going back to Legion to finish a few loose ends. Also need to get the quest to tame Feathermanes - I do want that one in Bastion bad!
Maybe someone using chromie time can help me out.
I dont like making alts and only have time for 1 toon. But if I want to go into older expansion content with my DK main, being at level 60, is there a way to use chromie time to scale things to me in the older content so it isnt a faceroll?
I haven’t purchased Shadowlands and probably won’t.
I have recently discovered that playing in old content is a lot more fun than I anticipated, because most of the things that hold you back in new content are removed by that point… which allows you to just have fun without the hassles.
I will get around to playing Shadowlands someday when I can fly in it without a long grind of some kind.

I don’t find the actual Shadowlands content very interesting, and a lot of it is kind of grindy.
Personally I spend most of my time in bgs as far as getting entertainment out of this game.

So then what do you do when you hit 50??
No chromie time is disabled as soon as you ding 50. You could level to 49 and stop xp though

Eh. I already quit once for a couple months and then started during the Texas Blizzard, but already quit again. lol
I kinda burn out on the game as a whole when I do. I was going to push on through renown for the “Baron” title on my hunter, but someone already took the name “Wasteland” on my server and I got salty and don’t care anymore.

Did that during Legion & BFA. Only RPed and did some quests every now and then before unsubscribing. Not havin’ that issue with SLs, so maybe give RP a whirl yourself OP.
I’m mostly just doing old stuff like old reps, professions, quests, etc that I never did on this character. Outside of that FF14 is my go to substitute.
Current SL is really really bad. When it’s finally out of Beta I’m hoping it will be better. 9.1 SOUNDS like it might be better, but it’s only 1 zone, dungeon, and raid with the same systems… so IDK. Might let the WoW sub go for a while.

I think you can Party Sync, if you have a party member in Chromie Time, but no way to do it solo.
I can’t imagine paying for an expansion and not playing it.
I am considering stopping experience at 49 and just play old content. I just want to relax and kill some mobs. There is so much old content, this could be loads of fun.

I’m actually enjoying the run through Legion content at the moment (I haven’t subbed in quite a while).
About the only grind system left in place there are World Quests, which I enjoy for the most part. I’m getting low on new quest chains for this character, so I will probably take a stab at the raids, then move on to an alt.
In a sense, it’s no different than I played for many years back in the day… push a character as far as I felt like taking it, then jump in with another character. The difference is, I don’t really have to wait on anything (other than maybe some World Quest respawns).
Legion is particularly cool in that each class seems to have its own quest chain to follow.

Yeah the party sync is weird
I was level 40 something on my priest and in MoP chromie time (MoP level 90 was squished to 35) so my 60 friend synced with me was synced to level 35. So your party members get synced to whatever is level cap for the expansion you’re currently in. He was a ret, and didn’t have access to his wings

Went to play classic. Never been a guy who can play wow without raiding.
Not entirely SLs fault though, my guild that I started with in the beginning of SL died and I’ve lost interest in trying to join a new mythic guild to break into content with people I don’t know well.
