Anyone else HATE Nokhud Offensive?

Just commiserating for a minute.
Of the current roster of dungeons none rates less fun as NO. Maybe it’s because I’m squishy ranged mage caster, but the whole place makes me crazy.
Pros: The flying from place to place is actually a fun thing (also like the raid boss fight where you fly from platform to platform)
Cons: Literally everything else.

  • The packs have a terrible mix of mobs that tanks have trouble keeping on them (or that deliberately charge away from them) and as keys go up are prone to pick me off in one or two shots…and…dead again.
  • Bosses are ok I guess now that I think of it…the electric guy is annoying with the storm damage I don’t seem to be able to avoid, but the rest are ok.
  • It must just be the packs, I don’t like the multi-trick combination of the packs and the ranged spear throwers
  • It’s ok dungeon, don’t hate it as much as my post title indicates
  • But I do hate it and would rather play any other dungeon in the line up right now

Yes. Everytime it pops up in LFG, or everytime I scroll past it in the M+ signups; I think “… ugh”.
Thats really my entire opinion with that place… just “ugh”

The mobs that charge in the first area target the furthest player from the group and the damage can be prevented entirely if you move fast enough during the charge cast or cc them before they successfully reach their target. You can make them charge through ring of frost, DB them mid air, or blink as they charge out and nobody takes any damage, or you can play closer to melee and make them someone else’s problem if you’ve ran out of defensives and don’t want to risk it.

Other than that there’s not really any damage specifically going at ranged besides missed kicks in the 2nd area.

Its nickname is the not-good offensive for a reason

I don’t mind it. The problems you’re having seem to be that you’re not 100% aware of what the mobs actually do.

Once you learn the mob mechanics, it’s pretty easy.

It’s a fun dungeon if someone hops up on your mount as a passenger. You can soar a thousand miles into the sky and eject passengers.

You could probably 4-man the dungeon before they reach the ground. The skybox is insanely high.

Mages are not squishy. Far from it, actually.

On topic - I don’t much like Nokhud, largely because of the flying, and it’s one of the dungeons that really, really suck if people don’t interrupt correctly, don’t use AoE stops, don’t focus priority targets, and don’t play the boss mechanics.

I like it. I generally like outdoor instances, though. Last season I got really tired of dugneons where we had to fight on stairs, in narrow hallways or with terrible color contrast (i.e. Darkheart Thicket).

In general, I like instances with some indoor and a lot of outdoor action (Siege of Orgrimmar, was optimal, IMO).

One of the fun parts of Nokud Offensive is when you make that safe landing spot that allows you to sneak in behind last boss like a special ops team.

“Nokud” is basically a dad joke for “No good”, at least I’m pretty sure it is.

I dread doing it. It’s why I haven’t taken the plunge yet back into M+ content.

Annoyingly it has like 4 BIS for me.

Eh, I don’t like the wind dude but I like all the big trash packs. Frost Mage is very dependent on larger trahs pulls for their AoE dps, so when we have massive trash pulls like we do on Fort weeks for the trash before the first boss I have loads of fun.

I don’t have a problem with it; granted I did fail out of a 2 last week, but that was more out of the healer being unable to handle the air boss then anything else.

To me, it feels more like one of those outdoor ‘dungeon’ elite quest hubs like Classic’s Jintha’Alor in the Hinterlands, rather than an indoor dungeon.

I don’t like it, lol.

Because I prefer to be one-and-done with such quests/areas.

I groan a little every time I see the loading screen.

I really feels like you’re doing a daily quest you don’t like, lol.

The little flying parts are annoying too, because everyone gets separated and attacks different mobs, etc.

It was fun in early DF, but the novelty quickly wore off imo.
